Ahava Hand & Foot Creams
I had gotten a sample of this in my EDS order (love those samples!) and passed it on to my hubby. He loved it! So I ordered both for stocking stuffers for him. He has very rough and dry hands and feet and this soaks in, feels luxurious but is actually changing the skin. Most just temporarily hydrate the problem, but these are actually making the skin softer and are healing as well.
I used the creams (both worked) on my nose that has been cracked, peeling and feeling raw while I had the flu over the Christmas Holidays (not fun) and it worked better than vaseline or Aquaphor. Last night I used the hand cream on my face instead of Aquaphor as an extra hydrator and WHOA! Love how soft it felt waking up. I have been so dry and feeling dehyrdated with this flu that my skin had been really neglected, but this totally brought it back.
I am going to keep ordering this PLUS I am now lemming for the eye and skin cream from Ahava. My new fave brand and ...... read more about Ahava on our Forum
AHAVA: Multi-Vitamin Dry Oil Mandarin Cedarwood, Pure Silk
I remember a few years ago I was searching for Nuxe Paris dry oil in Canada. Now that it is finally here, I purchased it and loved it a lot. Specifically the one with the shimmer in it. I found that it made your skin look good for an evening look. But at the same time, I found that it didn't moisturize my skin and felt drying. Perhaps part of it was that my skin is naturally getting dryer with age.
On one issue of New Beauty, there was a topic of dry oils and AHAVA Multi-Vitamin Dry Oil was suggested and it is moisturizing.
I ordered it and took it with me to the cottage or when we went camping. I find it annoying to apply body lotion on a hot, humid day with all the black flies among other type of flies and working up a sweat to put it on. AHAVA is in a spray form and you don't need to put too much effort to pump the spray to cover your whole body. The scent is very light, cedarwood and refreshing without any major citrusy or minty/cooling feeling. I found it to be quick and easy. The moisturizing affect really works without drying out your skin once it dried up. You should allow it to dry a bit before you put your clothes on and it can leave a nice sheen, but you have to spray on a lot in one area to get that affect. I agree with the logo on the bottle that it does make your skin feel like silk. So nice and smooth. I wish that the scent would last, but it does fade.
I never suffered any breakouts, but I do have one warning, I sprayed the bottom of my feet and then put on my flip flops and it was a bit slippery once your feet started to sweat. I also noticed and to me, this wasn't a bad thing because it didn't make my clothes greasy, was that if you started to sweat or got wet, your skin was a bit slippery.
I don't have the ingredient list because most likely I threw it in the camp fire. If I remember correctly, there was a combination of different oils being used with this formulation. As for applying bug spray and sunblock on afterwards, I am so happy to say that the dry oil didn't affect the other products. I was using Ocean Potion or Blue Lizard on my body.
I would never spray this on inside my home because I have this fear that some of the oil would go on the floor and someone could take a fall.
I really, really love AHAVA: Multi-Vitamin Dry Oil and it really does a wonderful job to moisturize and work as a dry oil. If you prefer dry oil over lotions and creams, this dry oil does have excellent moisturizing qualities with no dry feeling afterwards and does not make your clothes greasy.
I would repurchase this on regular basis and give it 10 out of 10! ...... read more about Ahava on our Forum
