I'm getting my brows tinted next week, and I'm wondering which of the products I'm using on my face might have a bleaching effect if I let them come in contact with the brows.
I'm wondering about C serum, PSF Berry Beneficial, CPs, BHA, DMAE, Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant...
Don't want to spend the bucks on the brows and then go right home and bleach them back to blonde!
Thanks. |

Wow, I guess you stumped everyone. If I had to guess, I would say that most of those should be just fine, but if any of them were to have an effect I would think the acidic ones would (i.e. BHA/AHA). My brows are naturally VERY dark brown and none of these products have ever lightened them in any way. Good luck! |

when i was using ProActive (BP), it used to lighten my brows quite a bit. so anything that contains benzyl peroxide should be kept far away from the brows (peroxide, duh!). otherwise, keep gentle with the microfoliant in that area as *any* dye, hair or brows, does fade with washing. it's not going to stay dark forever whatever you do. |

I get my lashes and brows tinted on a regular basis. The brow tint lasts about 3 weeks before it starts fading. The lash tint lasts a bit longer. The one thing I find that helps my lash tint last a bit longer (and is great at conditioning!) is a lash treatment serum. I am currently using Ecrinal (but looking at something new).
You could try a lash conditioning product on your brows to see if it helps the colour last longer.
I agree that BP would bleach as it is known to bleach clothes, towels etc.
I use Vitamin C in the eye area with good results and BHA on my forehead once in a while. I can't think of any product except BP that would lighten.
I love having my brows tinted and wished I had been doing it years ago. Unfortunately it does not last as long as I would like! |

Consistent use of RA seems to lighten mine. Since I tint my dark brown hair anyway myself, I use a q-tip and touch up my brows at the same time. Takes care of that.
If you don't color your own hair, it's very simple to tint your own brows at home with one of those brow tinting kits, or even using men's Grecian formula moustache tint. |

I was also going to suggest any products you are using with benzoyl peroxide. That's primarily why I avoid products with BP -- it used to bleach or lighten things that I didn't want bleached or lightened. |
