I'm considering taking the supplement Neocell Collagen Plus C, has collagen type I & III plus vitamin C. Has anyone tried this? Recommend it/ or found it useless?
Thanks. |

I love that stuff. I haven't been taking it recently, but plan to begin taking it again when I resume working out next month. It helps prevent soreness and quicker recovery from my workouts, plus I find it helps my muscles, skin, connective tissue, joints etc.
Way back in the 1990s, I became aware of a product called Calorad, which was a collagen hydrolysate product promoted for fat loss when taken at night. It was a mult-level marketed product which was a big turn-off for me, but I tried it anyway and found it improved my body composition and got rid of a lot of aches and pains.
The local news did a story on it at a local chiropractor's office, interviewing a large group of patients who reported very positive results losing excess body fat and toning up their bodies. The thing that was most striking to me was that the skin of each and every one of these middle-aged people looked absolutely amazing. It really made an impression on me.
I took Calorad for a while and then switched to a much cheaper liquid collagen supplement that I don't think is manufactured any more.
Eventually I switched to NeoCell's because I liked that it didn't have to contain preservative like the liquid formulas did.
I hope you like it and notice positive results if you try it. |

Hi everyone,
I know this is an old thread, but I just wondered if anyone else was using it? I have taken the powder form for only 2 days, but I feel a bit bloated. Would this have the same effect as a protein powder weight lifters use?
thanks

Thanks for sharing that product! I have never heard of it, but I just ordered a bottle on-line! I hope it helps my knee. I had surgery in July for a tear in my knee, and since I have been back at the gym, my knee is hurting me like it did before my surgery. One of the reviews said it helped with knee joints and lots of other things, so it is worth a try for me! Thanks |
