I've just bought a new Phyto Corrective Gel and the colour has always been dark green (the same as Phyto +) but this one appears to be a very pale green and, although I bought it from a reputable derm site, I've never seen it this pale before.
Has anyone else has this before or should it definitely be a dark green colour?
The list of ingredients is:
Aqua/water
glycerin
propylene Glycol
phenoxyethanol
polysorbate 80
sodium benzoate
sodium hylauronate
hydroxyethylcellulose
disodium EDTA
olea europea/olive leaf extract
benzophenone-4
butylene glycol
parfum/fragrance
citrus grandis/grapefruit fruit extract
cucumis sativus/cucumber fruit extract
thymus vulgaris/thyme extract
benzyl benzoate
alpha-isomethylionone
morus bombycis/morus
bombycis root extract
linalool
CI 42090/blue 1
D26449/1
Seems like a lot of ingredients and different to those listed on MUA. |

Two things just like dye lots on fabric there are variations between batches and I see they add color: CI 42090/blue 1 & D26449/1 (I think on the second). Also with plant extracts you can get levels of depth with the color depending on growing conditions. Just a thought as to why you are seeing a difference. |

Thanks for the replies ladies
The one I've always used is exactly like in your pic GirlieGirl.
I've had a look at loads of different sites and there are quite a few that sell the paler version (Strawberrynet's travel size look exactly like mine that I've just got) so I guess that the colour variation could be down to the growing conditions as you say DarkMoon so I'm going to use it see if it works the same.
I love this stuff and it's really helped my skin heal after my recent episode of heavy handedness with diacneal! |

Mine's always been bright green too Lipglossdoll but this one is very pale by comparison.
I've been using it on a small graze on my face and, together with the B5 gel, it's helped a lot and taken the redness/soreness away so I guess it's still the good stuff and certainly hasn't worked any differently to what I'd expect.
Must be down to the slight differences in plant extracts and colours as DarkMoon said earlier. |
