What are treatments that can get rid of redness left over from acne, but doesn' affect freckles?
It seems all treatments that even out skin tone, reduce redness or eliminate hyperpigmentation are also used to remove freckles. Things like IPL and bleaching creams. But I love my freckles, I don't want to get rid of them. What other options do I have to get rid of PIH while preserving freckles?
I've already had chemical peels and they are starting to lighten my freckles... I hope its not permanent and they keep coming back every summer... |

AHA will help. Paula's Choice makes nice one but there are other good options too. It takes a while for red marks to fade.
IPL/bleaching creams wont help with PIP (red marks) but would reduce freckles. These target melanin in the skin, PIP requires a different treatment. |

I'm thinking retin-a is the way to go.
I use aha products they help smooth out my skin and reduce oilness, but havent helped with the redness. |

Hi Vienna,
I used Skinceuticals Phyto+ for 3 months day and night and I did see an improvement in redness and overall skin tone. I don't think my freckles faded much.
I can't seem to post before.after pics here, but I did post them on my blog: beautytestlab . com
It's awesome that you love your freckles... I haven't quite come to terms with mine yet ;( |
