well it's about time I started reviewing some of the things I've been buying so here goes.
Something else from Yonka I love. this is fast becoming the skincare line for me.
First of all I have combo/oily skin, prone to hormonal breakouts which as many ladies will know is a problem to treat because most of the time our skin behaves and maybe for a week or so it goes crazy!
This has done wonders for my skin. You apply a thickish layer let it sink in for about 20minutes then massage it in, 'thick' is vague term because it sinks in well but I'd say in general twice the amount you would normally apply as a moisturiser does the trick.
It smells a little bit herbal but not off putting, it's texture is that off a light cream, similar to a light face mask.
But the results are what is most impressive, my skin looks, no is clearer, the blackheads round my nose are clearing and any little bump that appears (its not a miracle afterall) does not come up in an angry red spot and clears up very quickly.
If you are having a lot of trouble with your skin you can also apply it in the day.
Just for information I'm using a salicylic based cleanser once a day
Lonka lotion followed by
daytime pampelmousse normal to oily (review to follow)
nighttime creme15
This would be my regular routine with other little tweaks and additions along the way.
(So I'm sure the improvement has been as steady one based on the combination for products)
If you want to compare its aims then something like Decleors Essential Balm would propably be it but I like this much better, the results were quicker, it didn't cause any new product breakouts the texture easier to work with and I just love what it's doing for my skin.
After many years of struggling I think I've found a range that really works for me and I'm a very happy lady. |

The description on DermStore regarding this product is excellent and I would buy it however there are a few ingredients on the list that are moderately/highly comedogenic.
Ingredients: Water, Ethoxidglycol, Cetyl Alcohol, Tea Stearate, Corn Oil, Glyceryl Stearate SE, Proplene Glycol, Beeswax/cera Alba, Glyceryl Mysistate, Arctium Lappa, burdock Root Extract, Sage Leaf Extract, Yarrow Extract, Saint John's Wart Extract, White Birch Extract Marshmallow Root Extract, Horsetail Extract, Mint Balm Leaf Extract, Nettle Extract, Which Hazel Extract, Sunflower Seed Oil, PEG-6 Oleate, Soybean Oil, Lime Oil, Lavender Oil, Geranium Flower Oil, Rosemary Leaf Oil, Cypress Oilm Thyme Oil, Matricaria Extract, Lactic Acid, Diazolidinyl Urea, Methluparaben, Propylparaben, Citric Acid
Comedogenicity rating
Tea Stearate = 3/5
Corn Oil = 2/5
Glyceryl Stearate SE = 3/5
Soybean Oil = 3/5
But hey, if it works for you, then that's great! |

Hi All,
First time on this Forum..
I have been using the Creme 15 and been asked (by my beautician) to mix it with Yonka lotion 3, before applying to my face.
Wonder what additional effects it serves, to add the lotion 3 to Creme 15 before applying.
By the way, any recommendation on anti-aging eye gel - I'm searching for a good one.
Thanks! |

Hi ben
I was wondering which website you got the "comedogenicity ratings" from? It would be useful for when I want to check out some of the ingredients in new products.
Thanks

Hey YY,
It's http://www.zerozits.com/Articles/acnedetect.htm
Proven to be very useful when looking for new products, especially moisturisers.

Thanks ben.
Just wondering, have you used any of their products?
They have an "at home peel" at the strength of 70% https://www.zerozits.com/miva/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=2AHP&Category_Code=MT
And it says that lanolin oil should be avoided at all costs but in one of their products, they actually have lanolin oil in the ingredients list |

yeahyeah: this is one of my HG products. It's the perfect treatment moisturizer for super oily skin and now I use it in the AM as a makeup primer. As a primer it's way better than any cosmetic primer I've used and I know it's good for my skin and helping my acne all day. There are a lot of things that can be deemed comodogenic but whether it really does clogs ones pores depends on the individual. |

Hi sormuimui
As it is suitable for oily skin, is this creme drying at all? But I read a review that its a really THICK creme.
Yes, what can cause break outs for one may not for another...but to be on the safe side, I really dont want any comedogenic ingredients in my skincare products...dont want to take the risk of more acne!

I'm extremely acne-prone and I have to say that this has done nothing but help. Although my skin has become A LOT dryer than when I started (which is due to many factors) I still use this product. It's very thick but in the long run it CAN be drying. This is a treatment product and not a moisturizer, if you're looking for a moisturizer you're better off with Creme PG or other Yonka creams but for acne this is my HG Yonka Cream. I also mix in oils/serums to make it less drying - I started mixing Juvenil (which I hated as that kept me purging forever) and now I'm using Dermol 1 which I've almost used up and am moving on to Yonka Serum on my next purchase. The good thing about yonka products is you can always mix and match. |

Did anyone else notice there are a couple parabens in this product? |

I also find this cream to be an excellent primer. It also helped with controlling the oil on my face. |

The Yonka products that I have indicate the shelf life is 6 months after opening. |

i liked the cleanser....it was alrite cleaned well but i think u sometimes end up using more........i used this moisturizer........i would say it gave just the right amount of moisture to my skin.....dint feel tight or dry..........but im thinking i was breaking out with the odd nasty bumps then i dont no if it were yonka products or what but i dont have these now and im not using the products at the moment either.
also one thing i found was even though in the beginning i like the smell....after a month lol i was sort of put of by it....seemed abit too medicinal to me after a while which was a turn off |
