I have ordered six tubes of Retino-A from ADC. My credit card was charged on June 2nd, but I am still waiting for the package to arrive (I am in Europe). |
Update:
I received my package from alldaychemist today.
It's high time I got it as I placed the order four or five weeks ago. I live in Norway, and believe the package was posted in India.
I got three tubes of Tretinoin Gel 0.025 % and three tubes of Retino-A 0.05 %. Hopefully they will work just as well as the original brands. |

I am surprise that you can buy Retin-A in other countries with no prescription. I live in Canada and you need a prescription to buy this product!
However, I am insured. So whenever I buy Retin-A, I only approx. $3 per tube, the rest is paid by the insurance company where I work.

I would like to know if anyone has ordered Retin-A creams from antiaging-systems.com.
http://www.antiaging-systems.com/iasstore/acatalog/retinacreams.html
They are situated in the UK and offer Retin-A to the US and non-EU countries. As far as I have understood, people from US and non-EU countries can legally buy a three months supply of Retin-A from a UK website without prescription.
antiaging-systems.com stocks Retirides 0.025 % tretinoin, Retin-A 0.05 % and Retirides 0.1 % within the same price range. Can anyone clarify whether Retirides is a generic or brand name Retin-A? It sounds like a generic name, but it's not cheaper than the cream they call Retin-A.
I consider to buy the brand name Retin-A next time, and would like to know if this site offers "the real thing". TIA. |

Does it take a very long time to receive delivery to the U.S. from these places?
I know that some have mentioned after ordering, their CC was comprimised. Is their one online pharmacy that is highly recommended?
I would like to try retin a after reading such good things about it here, but most seem to just offer the generic brand. Can anyone offer a comparison of whether it's weaker, stronger, or the same as the Retin A brand?
Thank you |

I haven't ordered from this particular on-line pharmacy, so I can't comment on delivery or security issues - however, I would imagine that there would be nothing to worry about. The problems have been with the Medsmex website.
There should not be any real difference between a generic drug and a brand name drug. They will still contain the same strength of Retin-A but there might be some difference in the delivery system. Companies that own the brand name do so because they have usually sunk allot of money into R&D and own the patent. After x amount of time, that patent expires and other companies are allowed to manufacture the drug under their own name - hence the generic brands. You can have complete confidence in buying a generic brand - the only difference will be the price (cheaper). |

Thank you for the info Kelui. Now I recall it was "Medsmex" that had the CC issues.
I am still reading through the Retin A threads that are here, and have a ways to go yet. The only thing stopping me is that I have extremely dry skin, so I'm a little leary about it all.
My thought is that I'll buy the lowest strength cream and try it a couple of times a week to start.
Thanks for your help. |

Yes, that's a good way to go. If it's any help, I also have extremely dry skin but have had no problems using Retin-A (unlike AHAs which I found very drying and irritating). However, I do apply emu oil over the Retin-A so maybe this helps. |

I have 2 questions about alldaychemist if someone could answer, why do they ask for my dr information and how long does it take for the order to process after placing the order. Because for the last 4 days mine just says pending |

You have to fill out a form where you answer a few medical questions when you buy Retin-A because it's a prescription strength drug.
I live in Europe, and I believe it took some days before the order was processed, but I don't remember exactly how long. |

Today I went to my pharmacist to get 0.025% Retin A, which I use for eyes and neck area. he told me it was discontinued... I mean 0.025% strength.
I was very disappointed as I used it for few years already. I use 0.05% for my face.
Is there a way I can dilute my 0.05% to make it 1/2 strong?
TIA |

You can apply moisturizer or oil to your skin, wait a few minutes, and then apply Retin-A. In this way you will get a weaker concentration. |

You're welcome, TanyaB. I am very interested to know what results you have seen from using Retin-A in your eye area. Do you use it every night? Have you noticed an improvement in under eye lines? Do you remember how long it took to see results?
I have been using a 0.025 tretinoin cream every other night for three weeks now and am really hoping to erase fine under eye lines. Do you think it's important to use it every night to get results? TIA. |

When I started use Retin A under the eyes, I've got red and itching skin there, wrinkles became deeper (because skin was overdried). So, I stopped and then started to add it slow - once per week, twice, etc. Now I'm using it every night. I can't tell that all wrinkles disappeared, but I hope it helps to slow down the process. Comparing my under eye wrinkles with my friends - I can say that I have much less. But maybe it's just genetics.
I read a lot of positive reviews about Retin A usage from women, who used it for 20 years and more. All of them mention that they almost have no wrinkles. This is very inspirational |

I want to clarify a little re under eye wrinkles.
You can see mine only when I smile. In "emotionless" state they are invisible.
Also, this is a web-site (Smart Skin Care) with many reviews too:
www.smartskincare.com
However, I cannot find the original site I mentioned in previous post.

Thank you, TanyaB. I am also impressed by the reviews from long time users of Retin-A. |

Sept, I don't think it is essential to use it every night...I only use mine 3x a week MAX, but more like 1-2x.
Did you see the before and after pics in this link? They happen to be inner arm pics, but they only used weaker retinol 3x a week and saw significant results in 24 weeks. And skin around the eyes is just as thin (or thinner) than geriatic skin.

The article is also very good, if you are interested in the details. |

Thank you, bethany.
The results on the elderly people are impressing. I have been using retinol for quite a while without achieving similar results, but it surely is an inspirational study.
It might be a good idea to gradually step up the use of tretinoin to every night in order to speed up the repair process, and then cut back to every other night for maintenance.
TanyaB - my eye wrinkles are also hardly visible when I don't smile, and for some odd reason they are more prominent under the right eye. |

Well, I've tried ordering from both ADC first and then Medsmex and let me tell you what a pain!! It's been like 2.5 weeks since I've been trying to purchase Retin A and with both Medsmex and ADC it took like a week to get back with me about this; my bank would not approve the purchase because apparently certain "global purchases" have to be preapproved.. Geez.. I'm gonna try Magicpharma and hope I have better luck with them.. |

Thank you Gayle, I appreciate the info.. I'm really soooo disappointed in both MM and ADC... And I noticed that another site someone mentioned here, Magicpharma, is not accepting any orders until the 8th of August.. One question though, what strength should I order? Bethany recommended to me the .025%, but I don't see that strength available at Inhouse.. |

I would probably use the 0.05%, you could use a tiny bit of moisturizer first. Then, use only every other night for a week or so.
I started out with the 0.05 years ago, and had no problem using it straight every night, except for a tiny bit of peeling at first. |

I purchased two tubes of Retin A .1% from medsmex. Ive been using it for about a week and a half and have seen very little if any reaction even though I apply it immediatly after washing, which I hear causes faster absorbtion and can cause greater irrition. Ive experianced a little dryness but Im not sure if this is because I usualy use a moisturizer at night but havent been since using ther RA. I cracked open the other tube just to see if mabey I got a bad one; its color was white while the first one was yellowish. This makes me wonder if medsmex is selling fake RA. |

I bought some retin-a micro lowest strength from magic-pharma and still can't decide if its genuine.
Normally I use lowest strength isotretinoin and decided to try something less irritating.
It doesn't seem to be having the same skin-clearing and smoothing effect.
But it has given the initial breakout I expected as I stopped using isotretinoin for a couple of weeks while I was waiting for the micro to come in. And it doesn't burn when i put it on. Is it meant to? I dunno maybe i haven't been using it long enough, though 22 days seems like enough?
Is it genuine? Anyone? I know this thread is a little old.
The micro leaves behind some flaky white stuff when i use it.
I usually apply it after moisturising with clinique dramatically diff.
The micro-stuff is called supatret aqueous gel |
