OK, my skin's looking really lacklustre and I can't decide what to buy and money's really tight.
I recently invested in IS Clinical's Active and Hydra-cool serums. They're not doing anything special for me and I'm told I should add another serum - Super, I think.
About a year ago I was using Alphaderma's C&C serum and ADCE and looking at photos I was looking a lot better then.
So, should I risk it and go for the ISC Super serum, which I'm told is necessary for good results with this line, but I haven't tried before. From what people are saying the results sound incredible, but I find it hard to believe considering the first two products don't impress me.
Or should I go with the tried and tested Alphaderma line, which wasn't perfect, but definitely an improvement?
oh, and while I was writing this I just won a lucky 50 dollar voucher - thanks EDS

Molly, I say GO for the Super Serum!! I love it to death. I have now been using it about 4-6 weeeks and about 10 days ago added the Active and HydraCool at night.
The first couple weeks I used the Super Serum I also used Hydra Cool on top, but now I reserved my last sample to use with the Active (which is where everyone says it should go)
These serums in addition to my cleansing and RoC peel routine has my skin looking better than ever. I think it looks healther and more radiant than it did when I matriculated from grad school 8 years ago at 32 (was just looking at a photo tonight)
I tried the C&C sample and it was OK, but ADCE did nothing for me and I could never get used to the texture of it. |

Boy, I have really been out of the loop here. 
What is so special with the Super Serum compared to other quality C's? I have been using a C Serum for a long time and wondering is ISC better and how. Thanks  |

Hi Winnie, for me a lot of it is to do with texture. I could not stand Vivier or the PSF Emergin C because of the glycerin (I think that was the ingredient). I LOVED my Cellex-C and Hydra B5 gel, but was put off by how quickly it went disturbingly dark.
The IS Clinical has a texture I love with the added benefit of having the HA and some other quality ingredients I like built in. Also, it worked out cheaper than using the Cellex-C. I did like the texture of the JB C&C too, but the IS Clinical sample I had just wooed me over.
I have also added their Active Serum to my nightly routine and I swear my skin is as good - if not better looking - now as it was 10 years ago (and I just turned 40). I am not saying that it is 100% due to the IS Clinical products (I have some other awesome things I have built into my routine), but they definately have played a role. |

No question. Go for the Super Serum!!! (I'll bet everybody knew I was gonna say that...)
To answer Winnie's question: IS Clinical makes a Vitamin C serum - I've never tried it, but I'd guess that it's unremarkable as C serums go. Usually, we choose based on texture, slip, etc.
Super Serum is way more than a simple Vitamin C serum though. It does have 15% Vitamin C. But take a look at the ingredients: Vitamin C (stabilized L-Ascorbic Acid), Hyaluronic Acid (intensive hydrating ingredient), Arbutin Glycoside (controls uneven pigmentation), Pentapeptide amino acid (essential amino acids, protein building blocks, aids in reducing scar tissue and stretch marks), Kojic Acid (controls acne and uneven pigmentation), Vitamin B5 (essential for increasing cellular integrity), Centella Asiatica (phenomenal healing and potent antioxidant ingredient), and Zinc Sulfate (which is a powerful antioxidant, acts as an anti-inflammatory agent, promotes wound healing, and improves immunity).
NO wonder its so awesome  |

Molly, I really can't say which one you should go for yet. I've never used IS Clinical, but I have been using the ADCE & C&C for the last 2 weeks+. What I have noticed so far it that when I smile, I don't really see lines under my eyes anymore. I don't have crow's feet, but I've had lines under my eyes whenever I smile since childhood. My face looks and feels smoother and my skin tone is beginning to look more even. One thing I don't like is that my face looks shiny throughout the day(ever since I began using the products). Other than that, I am satisified so far. In another few weeks, I will give a full review. I purchased my skin prep, ADCE, and C&C from ebay for $140 including shipping. It was definately the best price I have found so far.

Try to get your hands on some samples of the Super Serum. Surely EDS must have them. If AlphaDerma worked for you so well in the past I would stick with it. You said you lacked luster. In the past I combined AlphaDerma and ISC Firming complex and liked it. I found that while ADCE firmed, ISC gave me that "luster" and refined pores. Good luck Molly. We could all go broke finding that perfect routine. 
Thank you Katee and Tiger_tim. Now that I am back on EDS I better start working another day a week. I just bought several Decleor products. Been anxious to try this line for some time now. Also request samples of Juvena. I might not have been posting but read and lusted. |

I'm still hovering, but think I'll just have to go for the Super serum - I can't resist all the raves and I've already got two of the products and don't want to use them up without the last magic ingredient in the triangle. I think I'll just go mad if I don't try it.
Besides my feeling is that it's C in any shape or form that my skin's missing most. I haven't had any for a few months. (Actually, I didn't buy any single skincare item for 9 months - incredible)
I would love to send off for some ADCE and a sample of the Super C Winnie, but if I like it that'll mean two deliveries and can only stretch to one.
Just one thing. Can I use the Super around my eyes. I don't mean the lids themselves but orbital bone? That's where the lines are, where my cheek meets my eye and ADCE does a good job of immediately diminishing that (though I don't think they're dynamic lines so I'm not sure how it does that.) |

| Yes, you can use Super Serum around your eyes.... I know I do. Only place I don't apply is directly on my eyelid. |

Me too on that eye zone.. my super goes around there.
Molly, when you do the EDS order, ask them for some JB samples of the C&C and ADCE. I got a couple from them once. |

| If you are ready to buy right now then go for the ADCE and get a sample of the ISC Super serum. I suggest this because you already know ADCE helps your skin but Super serum in unknown on your skin. Get the sample first. |

OK, the eyes have convinced me.
Bushy, thanks for the advice. It's very sensible and I should probably do that, but I really urgently need to look 10 years younger like Tiger Tim.  I have my reasons.
And I know C, even in milder dosages, seriously improves my skin. A lot of people seem iffy about the hydracool, but I've not seen one negative comment about the Super. If anyone hates it will they please tell me now.
In the end with a 15% discount and a 50 dollar voucher I feel like I'm saving money buying it
