I'm needing to incorporate a vitamin C into my regimen... I would love to hear if anyone uses this and what your opinion is please.

I have had problems with Skinceuticals C+E+Ferulic in past - gives me bumps all over chin and neck.

I like the idea of being able to spot treat with this... but not sure if it's a gimmick or really a good product. I'm also new to Dermalogica.

Thanks so much for any input! I reallly appreciate it.

Happy Friday

I use all Dermalogica products, and tried the Map-15 regenerator. I finished the whole container, but can honestly say, that for the price, I did not notice any improvement.

Thanks Havana. Yes, I had seen the other threads, but they are pretty old ('0Cool, so I was hoping to see if anyone still used it. I tend to change lines a lot, and I'm guessing others do too. But was curious if this was something that anyone has kept in their arsenal. Smile

I guess I'll keep looking for a Vit C that's not so much $$ (hopefully). Thanks again!

Thanks Sue. I appreciate the input! May I ask what Dermalogica products you love? I seem to change skin care a lot and don't have any HG's that I've used for an extended period of time. Too ADD I think! Smile

Hi:

I tried it (2 sample sizes only - so maybe about 4-5 weeks worth) and did not notice anything, positive or negative - just kinda useless.

Amyalex,

Hi Not sure if you read this but I know many DIY'ers aren't too big on MAP as the best Vitamin C derivative. This is part of a post from truth in aging.

However, MAP is not the best.

Next up is ascorbyl palmitate. This tends to be marketed as vitamin C
ester and is used by good, old Dr Perricone. This has the advantage of
being fat soluble and is long lasting, but it is difficult to include in cosmetic
formulations in high doses without adding in some form of alcohol.

The standard-bearer for cosmetic vitamin C is ascorbyl tetraisopalmitate. It can be used in high doses, is welcomed by sensitive skin and lasts up to 18 months. It seems quite rare, however. Perhaps it is expensive. I did find it in a product called Blanc Nouveau C50, which has it concentrations of 50%.

UPDATE 3/30/2008: I’ve just come across a new super vitamin C called Aminopropyl Ascorbyl Phosphate. It is in (amongst other things) DDF’s new age spot cream.

I actually won a small container of this but never really used it often. I will dig it out and give it another bash. It's a very odd prodcut though like a powder liquid!

I don't think it is worth the price, but it's a exciting product. When you apply it on the skin it has an icy feeling, It melt into the skin and you must keep it in a cold place. because it melts and becomes water consistency if it is not cold.

I would choose a different product
