Interesting enough with your comment re her lips, I don’t see this myself. However, I do and have changed my lips and sometimes done it in front of female friends just to show them that you can of course change your lips making them fuller and somewhat enlarged. If you read through the facercise thread, you’ll see there were people who have noticed and recorded that they did see changes in their lips from doing that exercise – so it does make me wonder whether you both think that the people who report the changes in their own lips are lying or delusional or something entirely different? |
I would never doubt that lips can be made to look plumper with facial exercise, not would I ever doubt anyone here if they said they've increased the fullness of their lips with Carole's program or another facial exercise program. I've seen it myself to a small degree with the Ageless If We Dare exercises, even though I've only been doing them for just over 3 months.
But I have yet to see the before and after pictures of people who have plumped up their lips to the degree that Carole has. Can you please point out the posts and pages where those pictures would be? Or maybe on another site if there are no pictures here? |

I just want to point out that it is honestly not my intention to upset any Facercise fans with my statement about her lips. I'm sure it is a great program. I know that lips can be made fuller with exercise; I just don't think they can double in size. This is just simply my opinion and nothing more. |

Have to say, that my comments in relation to Facercise are purely on what I've read. Its not a program I teach, so I'm afraid I haven't kept references of the relevant pages or forums where photos have been posted, but I do recall several people saying they saw changes and then various PMs behind the scenes that were shared with people who were curious and that was sure was on here. So I guess like most things, its entirely up to the individual whether they choose to believe it or not, but as you say you've seen changes yourself and thats great, but should people not believe facial exercies don't work when you say you have seen changes of course not. Likewise I've seen your photos on the Ageless thread and there were some great ones there, but also like has been said to me before, your relatively young, you've not done them for a prolonged period of time and yadayada yada.
You know its very much horses for courses, and who knows maybe 10 years down the line there will be a similar conversation about yourself where people are saying "She's obviously had work done". T|he real crux for me is that its being said that Carole has had work done as fact and the reality is there is no real facts in place, even photos wise because there are major differences in the quality, angles, makeup etc which all will impact the way any person looks.
Being an ex model, I remember seeing how sometimes a model would be done up in what looked like alien makeup, and yet when photographed and put into print looked the complete opposite of how they looked on the photoshoot day.

You see this is just the thing I was highlighting. No problem in sharing personal opinion, but there are personal opinions here being shared as fact not personal opinion which is wrong. Hey we've all got them opinions, but we need to really distinguish between what is fact and personal opinion.

First off, thanks for saying I'm relatively young. Being 49, that tickled me.
Secondly, I will let people come to their own conclusions as to whether or not they believe Carole's much fuller lips are soley due to her program or to fillers. I included the above videos because I feel there is a dramatic difference in her lips over the years.
And I didn't state my comments as fact. Maybe I should have phrased it as: It is plainly obvious to me that she's had something done to her lips. But in the same sense, you cannot say it is a fact that she has not had something done just because she says she hasn't. Unless you follow her around daily, 24/7 and know all her business, no one can say this. Only Carole herself knows the truth.
And maybe 10 years from now people may think I've had work done on my face (actually, I did have my eyes done 16 years ago, but they've started to droop again since then). And I do believe I will take it as a compliment if/when they do. So, maybe Carole should take it as a compliment as well. |

I do not see that anyone is stating it as fact, but it is an opinion I share. Having been a makeup artist I know there is just so much you can do to make lips look fuller without painting on a clown mouth! |

I concur with DM: Life is different everywhere: I've worked in NYC with many makeup artists who were so good they could make lips look amazing. Tricks, time, talent. but that's Manhattan~ A world apart from the rest of the world. |

Also I have had great luck with Carole Maggio's program - like all of them: The results are in the work.... That's what it takes. |

Sorry if someone has already said (I haven't read all the posts) but how old is Carole in that photo bottom left where she is talking. When I saw the interview that that is taken from, that is what made me start facercise, her skin looks absolutely perfect, but the older photo underneath, gave me a fright - how much older is she from the other shot I mentioned? |

Lisa, in the picture of the video below, the video was done on 08-06-08 (she's just making a strange face here from the video. This is not her normal expression):
The recent photo below was taken (I believe) a few months ago (I can't remember offhand how old she is here, but I think she's around 63):

That's a big difference. Maybe it's because she's tanner in the 2nd picture, perhaps trying a bronzer or sunless tanner? I think she looks better with the paler skin. To me she looks beautiful in the latest Facercise video, which I think was filmed around 09.
Of course, the hair is not good. I wish more women would let their hair go white or silver. It can be absolutely gorgeous.

Bless you on that statement Ryan, but I know for me my grey hair is snow white however I have tried on a friends very light platinum blond wig and look like death warmed over!
I would love not to color, but it just won't work on my skin tone! |

@DarkMoon... LOL .... I'm not there yet, but if my highlights get too white-blond, I get washed out for sure.
But that picture of the woman with white hair is drop dead gorgeous... She won the genetic lottery in a big way!! |

I agree on her looks, my Grandfather had a full head of snow white hair and it was so handsome on him, I don't have those genes! |

I know what you mean... I'm trying to be more disciplined with face exercises... My dream would be to have those cheekbone, whoa! However, I don't think any amount of cheek raises or resistance work can mimic brilliant bone structure. One can always fight the good fight however.... |

Wow that is a big difference she looks a lot older for only 4 years. There were some other photos on here somewhere where she is demonstrating exercises outdoors and she doesn't look that good there either. I know she is 63, but it's just the difference in 4 years from the video that I can't understand.I'm just concerned about whether to keep doing facercize. |

Talk about dreaming, I was reading a post of yours earlier about the multitude of gadgets and thought we need a "Jetson" helmet that does it all in one sitting!
Microderm, Led, Microcurrent, ect. ect.....then clean and apply perfect makeup! |

Too true!!!
In terms of Maggio, though, I don't think her most recent photo does her justice... maybe she was tired that day, but if I was a strict Facerciser, I'd be a little concerned. On the other hand, it takes a heck of a lot of confidence to put yourself out there like that. |

Lisa, how long have you been doing Facercise? There are a few people here who do it and swear by it. I think if you are getting results from it, then continue doing it.
Even though her skin and hair don't look that great in that most recent picture, I still think she is a beautiful woman who has helped many people. |

Just out of curiousity can you describe to me (and others) why you think its implants? I know you've got a science background and I've been accused myself of having them, and I did chuckle because its not true at all but I'm curious as to what you see in the photos that makes you so sure she's had implants?
|
It's not so much a single photo--not sure that I could tell by looking at just one.
Take the top two photos of Carole--I think she is in her early fifties in the one on the right and in her mid-fifties in the one on the left. She has been doing Facercise for over a decade in both photos, and in fact you can even see that her cheeks are becoming flatter with age in between these two photos...probably in large part due to bone loss during menopause, I would speculate.
Then look at the bottom two photos. She suddenly has much larger cheekbones than she ever had. And the shape of them being a bit more dramatically curved (indicative of an implant) than then being more gradually curved (indicative of fillers) makes me think that she has had implants.
Of course, I can't be sure, but it's pretty obvious to me that her cheekbones have suddenly grown in size...not likely to be from Facercise since she's been doing it for more than a decade anyways. |
Definitely implants or lots of fillers in the cheeks. And either lots of lip filler or a gortex implant in the lips. (just my personal opinion, of course)
Based on the loose skin in the most current pic a few posts above, I am betting she considers a "liquid facelift" with fillers to not really be plastic surgery, and not a concern from a business standpoint. |

I have Caroles videos and think she looks great.
However I did recently see her on tv and my first thought was she has had her lips done can't remember the cheeks.I was just stunned at how huge her lips were and how different from the video. I am not great at analysis. I know what I like, I know what I see and most times my gut instinct is correct. I couldn't care less if she has had stuff done, good for her if she has. We all need extra help sometimes. |

Haha, well I have just been loving white hair lately. I would love to have my hair this color but I'd have to completely fry it with bleach and the upkeep would be prohibitive for me. I have been attempting his style though, if not the color. (Sorry to go off-topic...)

When I went to my dermatologist, last year and had dynasport (whole diff topic, hated it), she had the most incredible cheeks, she mentioned I'd be perfect for the treatment. They take a filler and fill the cheek area up and out. It looks great, but when you touch it (she let me and the nurse let me on her as well) it was very firm, and odd to me. All I could think of was what it would look like, as it wore off (picture in head was not pretty).
Long story short, this is what I think shes done, fillers. You can see the lumpy effect in the last picture (time for more, maybe?). Either way all the power to her, she looks great in most pictures. |

In the second photo posted by sandooch, those look like giant veins under her cheeks, especially on the right.
Reminds me of Madonna's arms. Maybe those really are her cheeks, if she did that--got a vein to pop. Hopefully, its just smeared make-up.
I wear bi-focals and don't see that well. I keep thinking my eyes are playing tricks. |
