Hi Ladies!

I'm a longtime reader, but first time poster. Over the past 6 months, I have amassed quite a collection of high-end skincare. Most of my products are brand new, still in their boxes. I know there is no way I will ever use all this, especially now that I am seeing a new Derm who has me on prescription meds. So, I thought I would ask you ladies for some advice on where I could sell it online?

I don't really want to use eBay if I don't have to, but I can't find anywhere else at this point. If anyone has any recommendations, I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks so much!

Craigslist might be another place to consider.

Honestly eBay is by far your easiest option, just protect yourself by describing very carefully (eg. copying and pasting from the manufacturers site), packaging properly and sending everything via trackable post. If products are totally unused you could opt for 'Buy it Now' listing if you think auctions are too much hassle. I *think* you can also insist on a certain amount of positive feedback.

I purchase quite a bit on eBay and so many sellers just chuck things that can be damaged into a thin bag and chuck it in the mail box rather than using the Post Office. I once received high heels wrapped in nothing but two supermarket carrier bags, with one heel poking through! And they had the cheek to significantly overcharge for P&P. Shock eBay and PayPal can actually protect both parties to a transaction, but only if both follow the system as it is laid down.

Your other option is to list your items on a skincare forum that has a buy/ sell/ swap board, but these can be full of scamming buyers AND sellers so the legitimate few tend to be very wary and will be looking for a posting history. You will have particular issues with high end stuff because there are a LOT of fakes around: if you have a receipt for any of your items, put that in the listing.

You would need to join the Forum but MakeupGeek has a sale and swap section:

http://www.makeupgeek.com/forums/forum/sale-swap/

A free option similar to craigslist is:

Also:

Well, there are many online vendors where you can sell your skin care products. I would also refer you eBay and Craiglist because these are secure and safe. i think you should try first to sell these products to a beauty parlor, they can offer you good amount for these products.

There are some forums that have "marketplace" sections, as someone posted earlier. You might join the forum and check out the posters for a while before you put your items up for sale. Having them in the original box is a necessity, IMO. You should use Paypal to help protect yourself.
