Killing Fleas
Dealing with a flea problem can be off the chart expensive, especially when you have more than one cat or dog or... as in my case... up the wazoo
The link below will show you how to save some serious money.

Btw, my Vet told me that if your pet has a flea allergy, you can treat them every 3 weeks during flea season; this should keep everything under control, preventing them from having to get cortisone shots for itching and hot spots. |

I whole heartedly recommend Flea Busters Powder as well. My cats go out on a screened patio here in FL, so they need some level of flea protection, but I prefer not to put Advantage on them.
You basically sweep it into your carpet or dust it into the cracks in hardwoods, etc. and it dehydrates the little monsters and their eggs. It lasts at least 18 months, but mine has lasted for 3 years with zero fleas.
FYI that it is much more finely milled than regular boric acid so that it clings to things better.

I had no idea this even existed! I too prefer no advantage etc. I'm giving this a shot. Because my kitties spend more time outside than in house (cat door) this might not cover it completely ...but keeping the house free of fleas is HUGH!
Thanks so much!! |

Deb, just be forewarned that application is very dusty, but once you get it down and cleaned up, it is carefree! You can also sprinkle it under sofa cushions, on their beds, etc.
And if you wash any cat beds, you can always add 20 Mule Team Borax laundry additive ($3 on the laundry aisle) as well. |

Yep - I do this too. I buy my flea meds from an online pharmacy, and buy the extra large size. Saves me a freaking TON of money.
Now that winter is almost here, we will be stopping the drops. I might get some of that Flea Busters for the bedroom since it's the only place carpeted, and the dogs are always laying on the carpet. |
