Ive had a patch of slightly discoloured skin for ageeeees now. Tried glycolic acid and mandelic peels and even a dermaroller treatment but to no avail. Im thinking of trying dermaroller again but using a bleaching cream in conjunction with. Last time it was just dermaroller and nothing else...but this time im thinking if i use a bleaching cream aswell the channels created by dermaroller may allow bleaching creams to reach deeper. I can use TCA unfortunatly because of sebheorreic dermatitus that may flare up. Any tips of if you think my plan may work though? |

Last night I did my second TCA peel. My first was 3 weeks ago. Both times, I used 12.5%. The first time, I did 3 layers, with 5 minutes between each, and got very little frosting (which is why I actually did 3 layers....the skin looked very good and normal after the first and second layers, with absolutely no frosting). The peel progressed as I had heard it would, with all peeling being done by day 10.
It was weird, though...the areas that frosted were the last to peel (I would have thought they'd be first). But I was very pleased with the results...the acne scars and pitting I have definitely improved and I was happier with the texture overall. I couldn't wait to do the next one!
Last night, I decided to be a little more aggressive on the spots with the worst scars, enlarged pores, and pits (on my forehead right between my eyes, the top of my left cheek, and the top of my nose). I dermarolled those areas with a .5 roller, and then did 5 layers of TCA 12.5. Those areas definitely frosted first, and boy did it burn! I will post updates as the healing progresses. |
