Hey everyone
I use a DIY C serum, but I feel like I can't really apply it well to my face, it's like I'm just dragging it around. I get a bit of stinging (I'm adjusting the percentage still), so it must be working at least a little bit, but I thought it might be easier to use a spray bottle instead.
I thought I could use a spray bottle, close my eyes and mist my face really good. I know the serum doesn't last long, so I'd maybe make enough for at maximum two days. Just shake it up really well before I use it.
Does anyone see any problems with this? Like getting into my eyes or something? Is that dangerous if it does happen? I get random oils and green/white tea into my eyes accidentally all the time and I'm fine. I am going to try some cotton balls too when I get around to buying some. |

The only issue that a spray bottle presents is that it exposes the mixture to air - so it means that it will start degrading faster. Also you want to watch and keep an eye on the ph levels too of the formulae you are making. |

Yeah that's the problem with vitamin C serums, I was going to only make enough for maybe two days max, but I don't think it's even worth it, I guess I'll just keep doing what I was doing. |

I have seen Vita C in an aerosol spray. |

Me too but unless its in an air tight container - it will still degrade nevertheless. Some companies state products contain Vit C and they probably start off doing so - but oxygen, light, heat all degrades it rapidly.

If your DIY serum is very liquidy, I would use a cotton pad and apply like a toner. I made small batches and kept in fridge.
I am afraid that the vitamin serum might irritate my eyes if sprayed. |
