I had a facial recently with a spa that exclusively uses Dermalogica. I have to say that it was the most amazing facial I've ever had. Even with a few extractions, I left with dewy, even-toned skin. I had the facial at lunch and folks at worked raved all afternoon about how "healthy" my skin looked.
Anyway, the esthetician used, and swears by, the Precleanse product. Description to follow. The premise seems analogous to OCM --- using oil to lift oil. I bought some and it does seem to enhance cleansing... especially removing foundation from the pores that I'm thinking I was missing before with ordinary cleansers. I haven't had any irritation or breakouts in the two weeks I've been using it, but I'd like other folks thoughts before I rave... Any bad long-term reactions out there?
Here's the description. TIA!
"The professional's deep cleansing weapon! Achieve ultra clean and healthy skin with a double cleansing regimen that begins with PreCleanse. This plant-based cleansing oil, fortified with Olive and Kukui oils, thoroughly melts layers of excess sebum (oil), sunscreen, waterproof make-up, environmental pollutants and residual skin products that build-up during the day. When water is added it transforms this hydrophilic (water-loving) formula into a milky emulsion, easily rinsing away oil-based debris from the skin's surface and allowing your recommended Dermalogica Cleanser to penetrate even further for professional cleansing results. Formulated with conditioning Rice Bran and Vitamin E oils, this gentle blend can be used around the eye area to even remove waterproof mascara. Offers a deep cleansing ideal for even the most oily skin conditions. Contains no artificial fragrance or color. Professional recommendation advised." |
