Lemon essential oil? I don't use any essential oils, but I do use some fresh squeezed lemon in my cleanser (along with honey). What are the benefits of lemon essential oil as opposed to fresh squeezed lemon juice? |
I find the essential oil more convenient than lemon juice. I dilute it with jojoba oil to treat blemishes and to help fade the red marks left by past blemishes. I also mix a little bit with Tea Tree Oil to help mask the odor. You can actually buy Lemon Tea Tree Oil, but I've never been able to find it. The lemon scent really helps since by husband can't stand it when I use Tea Tree Oil!
**Just don't use lemon oil on your skin before going out in the sun--it can make your skin burn more easily than usual. |
