Hi Kristen!
AS far as I know, I and all of my friends started with the advanced protection cream when we were about 26-27. I had used the atmosphere protection cream before, but my boyfriends always seemed to like it more than I did. If you want a no-nonsense, nicely scented, light moisturizer to go under makeup and sunscreen, atmosphere's your cream. BUT if you want something in the line of these 'super-creams,' which somehow, some way, manage to achieve several possible feats in one fell swipe, the advanced is your cream. Advanced is of an almost tacky texture, goes on thickly, but dries to a nicely, dewy-matte finish. It tones the skin (you can feel your skin firming) and makes it glow. It has all sorts of goodies in it. Personally, I's get the advanced protection cream because it is so multi-purpose, and because you can thin it out with HA and/or oils or even with SKB (although it basically has that in it already) in the summer or for daytime. Then you can use it once or twice per week as a night cream, too, full strength.
Put it this way: atmosphere protection cream would be the kind of cream you layer under makeup, etc... Advanced, the kind of cream you can't wait to put on after you've taken off your sunscreen and know you are going to a party that night... It's just lovely.
I'm not so sure I really appreciated advanced protection cream until I really began to see signs of aging, but I'm sure glad I used it through my twenties regardless.
I hope that helps... I could wax poetic forever, but I'll leave it up to others to weigh in as well! I know some people have really preferred the atmopshere.
