WOW - that was fast! Shock Looking forward to your opinion of the C23 (and the sample products you received, if possible Wink ). If you don't mind, can you also compare the C23 to other Vit C serums you've used (comparisons of strength, texture, and absorption is always helpful). Knowing your skin type in your review is very useful as well. TIA!

Well, I just used it for the first time this a.m. and really like it. I know it's too early to know how effective it will be or if it will turn as time passes. I used 3 drops for my entire face. It's a tiny bit thicker than PSF's Vitamin C, which is the only other C I've used and whose consistency is like water. It absorbed immediately and doesn't feel as if anything is on my skin. Its color is clear to perhaps a very pale ivory. My skin is typically very oily and acne-prone. However, this time of year and the Retin-A that I use has a tendency to dry it out. I'm very excited about using a stronger C serum in hopes I will see better results. PSF's is 15%.

I used the collagen cleanser last night and liked that very much as well. I currently use PSF's Gentle Cleansing Castile and really love it, so I'm not sure I'll switch my loyalties just yet, but I did like it.

I'll keep you posted as time goes by.

Sorry Mpstat, I just re-read the thread and noticed that you already mentioned the products you've purchased. How long have you been using the Matrixyl 3000 and how are you using it? I'm asking about application because I discussed this product with Alex and he told me that people are using it straight out of the bottle. I'm a little surprised to learn that you haven't noticed any results yet if you're using it straight, as it should be doing something at a concentration of 10% (which is HIGH!). I would still like to know of any products you love and those that you wouldn't re-order. Thanks once more...

Hi ScotsLass, I am caucasian with fair sensitive skin that is somewhat dry, although periodically especially in summer my tzone gets oily, otherwise it is in the dry category.

I liked pretty much all Cellbone products I tried Very Happy Very Happy , but you are right that I use some of them more consistently, on a regular basis.

C23
use it daily
We discussed this one already and I like it a lot.

Pure Hyaluronic Acid Gel
use it daily
I like it a lot. I use it for neck, decolte area and hands.

Sun Protection SPF 45
use it daily
I like it.

Matrixyl 3000
use it daily
For Matrixyl usage straight from the bottle, I am fairly positive Alex was referring to me. This is how I use it. The reason why I do not see the results might be because I do not have wrinkles or fine lines around eyes, I do have some fine lines on the forehead, but they are not pronounced. Alex told me that Matrixyl 3000 should be used with some sort of carrier and preferably with DMI Solution. DMI Solution helps better penetration into the skin (I actually bought DMI on Cellbone as well, but did not use it). It is shiny and slippery, so not for the day time use, use it at night. This is how I use Matrixyl 3000:

* I do facial exercises FlexEffect in the evening I coat face, neck, hands with camellia/rosehip oils. (I can not say enough about the oils thay have been so good for my skin, especially camellia oil)
During exercises the oils being massages into the skin.

* Apply Kigelia Africana extract

* Apply Matrixyl 3000 around eyes and on forehead. I think that oils I used for exersises serve as carrier for Matrixyl 3000.

Kigelia Africana
starting using it daily
I got it and used one bottle, also straight from the bottle, did not dilute it. The skin was not irritated, and felt fine, but I finished the bottle fast, and did not have an opportunity to use it for a couple months. I ordered more Kigelia, and going to continue, but this time I will dilute it with cellbone Neutralizer - Skin pH Balancer in 50/50 ratio. Neutralizer - Skin pH Balancer can be found under Skin Rejuvenation section of the web site. It was Alex who advised me on using Neutralizer to dilute Kigelia, and he said that I do not need to wash it off, just leave it on the skin. Here is a list of ingredients in Neutralizer:
Water, Aloe Vera Leaf Juice, Panthenol, Willowbark Extract, Cucumber Flower Extract, Centella Asiatica, Sodium Hydroxymethyglycinate, Sodium Hyaluronate

So I am going to try it...

Super AOX
Restore
used a little
Cellbone is especially proud of two products, Super AOX and Restore. I find that the list of ingredients is wonderful, and they feel on the skin great. The smell is citric like. With Super AOX it happened that my daughter liked it so much that she took the bottle and she is using it. She is seventeen, and her skin is prone to break outs, but she did not break out from AOX.

I liked Restore Skin Lifting Serum too, it has caviar extract in it!!! Surprised Very Happy but did not use it for long. In addition when I started using Restore I got some sort of rush , chances are that it was from some other product, but I stopped using everything I was using at that time... Sad ... I just re-read ingredients again, and they do sound good...

Collagen Mask - Firm Therapy Serum
I used it for about a month and liked it. It was during the time when my skin was "unhappy" super-sensitive and I backed-off from most of the other products. It did not irritate my skin, and after my skin recovered I stopped using it. Also Alex advised me not to rinse it off, but just leave it on the skin, and that what I did. I feel that it served the purpose, and it is a good product.

C7ie Eye Contour Gel
used a little
This vit C gel is for eyes, unfortunately for me my eyes area is sensitive, just like neck and decolte I can not use vit C in these areas. But for those who can tolerate it, vit C might be beneficial for eye area.

Glycolic Acid 70% Unbuffered Solution
Used it several times
I used this solution to help to clear skin on my back from sun damage brown spots. Actually it was the very first product I purchased on Cellbone, if I remember correctly this product was less expensive here then on PlatinumSkinCare. I had some improvement with it, than I stopped.... need to continue using it, because it helps to clear the skin. I like it.

C12 Ultra C - Moisturizer for Dry and Sensitive Skin
used a couple times
C12 is cream and I found it is too reach for my skin, but I normally do not use creams, I use gels/serums....

I am looking now at cleanser and toner... XC looks good, Smile and possibly Nanosome Copper Peptide Solution (I had a negative experience with SkinBio CPs though...)

Maybe I missed sonme of the items, but the post is so long already....

Just a reminder to everyone that if you want to reap the most out a Vitamin C Serum (such as C23), you should apply it in the AM on clean skin and then *wait 30 minutes* before you use anything else. Vitamin C (l-ascorbic acid) requires 30 minutes uninterrupted in order to optimize it's exfoliating abilities and then raise the pH levels of your skin back to a normal range, which is between 4.5-5.5. Should you apply anything to your skin immediately after you've applied a Vitamin C serum, you will halt the exfoliating properties of the product and possibly alter the effectiveness of the next product you use (as it may require a higher pH level of the skin to work properly). Remember that the Cellbone C23 Serum has a pH level of 2.3 for a reason; the lower the pH level of a product, the more acidic it is and the more it will exfoliate dead skin cells and improve the brightness of your skin. It generally takes between 20-30 minutes for the pH level to return to normal after you've applied something with a low pH. So to recap - there are two primary reasons why you wait; the first is to optimize the Vit C's exfoliating action; and the second is to raise the pH levels of your skin back to a normal range.

Another popular rule of thumb to remember when you're applying serums, gels, lotions and creams is to start with the thinnest composition first and work your way up. The only exception to this is Emu oil, which can be applied on top of anything and still have optimal results. So after you've waited the 30 minutes required for the Vit C serum, you might want to apply a serum that contains 'actives', such as the Restore Skin Lifting Serum. You would then follow this with the AOX Skin Firming Moisturizer and lastly the Sunscreen SPF 45. *Note*- If you use Emu oil you can apply it after the Restore OR after the AOX, but I do not suggest you apply it at the very end over the sunscreen. Emu oil is a biological healing oil that can 'push' other products below it deeper into the dermis (alone it can penetrate up to 7 layers, which is AMAZING), so I would capitalize on it's fantastic delivery system and use it on top of the products that have the most 'actives' in them, as you should see results a bit faster this way. I realise that Cellbone has a carrier product called DMI Solution, so for those that do not use Emu oil (or want to), you can use the DMI before your 'actives' to help them penetrate deeper.

So here is the pretend morning routine again:

Cleanse Skin (using product of your choice)
Apply C23 Serum
*Wait 30 Minutes*
Apply Restore Skin Lifting Serum
Apply AOX Firming Moisturizer
Apply *Emu Oil* (for those using it - can also be applied after Restore if desired)
Apply Sunscreen SPF 45

Now lets say you are using other 'actives' that are a bit more complicated and want to incorporate them into your routine. Here is another morning example with Matrixyl 3000 and Tripeptide (aka, Viper Venom).

Cleanse Skin
Apply C23 Serum
*Wait 30 Minutes*
Apply Matrixyl 3000 to wrinkles & fine lines only - not over entire face!
Apply Tripeptide (AKA Viper Venom) to muscles only - not entire face!
Apply Emu Oil a dab to the area's treated with the above actives
Apply Restore Skin Lifting Serum
Apply AOX Firming Moisturizer
Apply Emu Oil (all over face)
Apply Sunscreen 45

Should you order the more complex actives, I do suggest you call Cellbone for confirmation of usage before you try it on your face. As I've noted above, the Tripeptide is not to be used all over your face and is designed to temporarily numb the muscles that contract and cause wrinkles to form. So you 'spot treat' with this product, not apply it everywhere. I did talk to Alex several days ago about the Matrixyl3000 and Tripeptide actives as I want to use them together (meaning one on the actual fine line and the other on the muscle causing the line), he confirmed that this is indeed the best way to use these products when you are buying them at their highest concentration and using them undiluted.

Hope this helps others to create their own product routines a little easier. Smile

I was looking at VV at GoW site, and somehow overlooked on cellbone... Are you talking about Tripeptide (SYN®-AKE) solution? http://cellbone.com/SYNAKE_Solution.htm

So.... it is OK to use it straight from the bottle??? Question Question

You're welcome, gailbaby. I generally apply my Vitamin C serum the moment I'm out of the shower or after I wash my face. Then I focus on doing my hair or other tasks that are necessary in the AM as I wait for the 30 minutes to pass. With a little tinkering here and there, you can get through the 30 minutes and still have time for whatever else is important. If it's really hard for you to re-work your AM schedule, then use the C23 serum at night a 1/2 hour before bed (so that you can easily wait the 30 minutes without rushing or worrying Very Happy ). I'm not a big fan of using Vit C serums in the PM only because I like to gain the photo-protection elements of wearing vitamin c during the day. However, there is no hard and fast rule that says you cannot use it in the PM and still gain all of the other wonderful benefits! So don't stop using the C23, as there is no reason to, okay. As you can see, there IS a way to incorporate it into your routine with a little planning! Smile

BTW - If you are using any of the copper peptide products (either Cellbone's or Skinbio's), do not use it at night with your Vitamin C serum and instead use it exclusively in the morning. Vitamin C (l-ascorbic acid) and Copper Peptides are not compatible together and can actually negate the properties of each other. As long as you are not using any AHA (alpha hydroxy acid) products in the morning, you can apply copper peptides right after you cleanse and then layer it with whatever else you want immediately afterwards. HTH's...

Dear Kris,
I've used the C products from cellbone and I do recall them as being yellow-ish... I loved the glycolic C product especially.
