wait, when you say negative reports on the skin bulb do you mean the viss skin bulb in specific? or do you mean just ipl facial treatments in general (your earlier posts regarding those side effects mostly associated with overuse)? please fill me in!
either way... i am still going to try it, because i DID do it once before it broke down and i didn't have any adverse reactions to it....although i guess once isn't enough to tell! i set the intensity at level 3 (like dragon) and probably won't go higher than that, and most likely won't do more than twice a week as the manual advises. as for the before and after shots....urrrgghhh...i totally get where you're coming from because i like to look at those as well, but i'm toooo self conscious to put up photos!! i WILL keep posting and report every little thing and will try to be as helpful as i can with keeping you guys informed! |

Here is my update for first treatment.
Over a week my hair looks still growing in arms, and legs. But i tried to pluck it with twezeers just for curiosity and.... WOW.. The hair instantly fall out with no follicle, no resistance. So i guess the hair is still there but the follicle is dead. (the manual says that just wait to fall out itself)
This look like a drunk hair, with no root direction.
I posted before that you can use a higher setting level with precooling. Now i can see that the treated areas with higher levels are changed pigmentation slightly, but noticeable, while the treated areas with the level corresponding with your skin type has not been damaged in skin tone. And Both areas has the same results in terms of hair removal.
SO, DO NOT USER HIGHER LEVEL RECOMENDED FOR YOUR SKIN TYPE. BECAUSE THIS COULD UNEVEN YOU SKIN TONE SLIGHTLY(like litle patches). AND YOU WILL HAVE THE SAME HAIR REMOVAL RESULTS. (it looks like i'm experimenting with my skin LOL)
For face AFTER 2º treatment, not significant results yet. I guess this is because the hair follicle is deeper.
For skin rejuvenation: The skin rejuvenation says that treat red and sunspots. My redness has completetly gone after 3 treatments at level 5, i have not even a little break out. BUT, i have a little post inflamatory hyperpigmentation after acne, and i found that the skin bulb do not treat this problem. just to be clear, works for acne, works for redness, works for red acne scaring, BUT did not work for post inflamatory hyperpigmentation, at least not for me. So, i decided complementing the VISS fotorejuvenation with Hydroquinone 4%, and now i'm looking good results. I've Found dermatologic publications that agree with this, best results using Hydroquinone + IPL.(preventing post IPL hyperpigmentation and treating existing Hyperpigmentation)
Here is the dermatologic publication, so you can se that i'm not kidding:
Unfortunatelly i cannot post the link, so the name of the dermatologic publication is:
"Benefits of using a hydroquinone/tretinoin skin care system in patients undergoing intense pulsed light therapy for photorejuvenation: a placebo-controlled study"
This is a quote of conclusions:
"CONCLUSION
Adjunctive use of the HQ/tret system enhances the overall improvements in facial skin achieved with IPL therapy alone-resulting in significantly lower levels of hyperpigmentation and laxity, and significantly greater levels of overall improvement and patient satisfaction. Use of the HQ/tret system in combination with IPL treatment was generally well tolerated with mean levels of dryness, peeling and burning remaining less than mild throughout the study."
I hope this helps.

Yes...I am, and at the lower settings. I am not so brave to go over #6.
Skin bulb only at #3.
Major difference in underarms and bikini line. Legs....I think that will take a bit longer. They do grow out looking drunk and pull out easily.
The facial wild cats...the problem is not severe, mind you, I utterly loathe facial hair. They are very fine, but the dark ones...pull out. There were 2 thicker ones...and they have not been seen in quite a while
It's just a really great little machine...can't say much more. Worth the money.<--- I don't say that about too many things...so take it for what it's worth. [ my 2NT on an internet forum!] Seriously though...if you don't have one, get one. |

Hi there... here is my update results. I can say that has make miracles in some areas, when other areas still nothing. For my experience i recomend IPL for not coarse hair in extended areas, and laser diode for coarse hair in small areas. Because with with viss i did not have important results with very coarse hair. YET!
After 2 treatment 35% hair reduction in legs. Lot of bald patches .
20% hair reduction in arms, this hair take longer in fall, some hairs fall after 20 days at the date starting the treatment.
0% hair reduction in face. This hair grows still coarse, but the growing is much slower. =( I guess this is because the follicle is deeper in skin.
Abdomen 90% hair reduction ... I cant believe when i saw this. after 2 treatments, there is almost no hair.
Underarms 35% hair reduction and but MUCH finer.
i started at 5 october. These are my results at today 25 october |

So how did it go using the hair removal bulb on your freckles? If it was successful, what setting did you use? My skin is also very light with dark hair, but I also have lots of light-to-medium-brown freckles on my arms, and my arm hair was one of the main areas I wanted to treat with the VISS I just received. I didn't see any indication on their website that light skin with *freckles* was a problem, so I'm a bit perturbed that the instruction manual discourages use on freckled skin. |
Well, I sure didn't think it would take me this long to get back onto this forum. I have had many treatments since my first in the front end of November. Maybe 4? I wanted to be better about keeping track. BUT, this is what I have to say. It is amazing. I couldn't be more happy. The only downfall is that I am experiencing some discomfort with it that I was not anticipating during the treatment. It is a sting that comes seconds after the flash goes off and after finishing a section like the bottom of my leg I have to take a break before moving onto the next area of my body. BUT after suffering a lifetime (ok, 30 years) of a hairy body I will tolerate it since it is working so well. My arms are 80% reduced and I believe with a few more months of treatment it will be gone. My legs are about 50% and it gets better each time. I took the risk and used it on my face. It took longer for my neck and chin to see a reduction but after this last treatment I finally feel like it is growing back slower and less dense. I used it on the back of my neck as well and find this area is the least affected but believe again over time it will start to reduce considering this was the most dense hair. The hair on my neck is just as thick as the hair on the top of my head. I am also using it on my side burns. Has worked well on the lower ends of the sideburns but the closer it gets to my hairline the less results. I will keep working on it though, it will work eventually, I truly believe it!!! As for the setting.. I started out at a 5 and 6 but now use a 7. I have used it on my entire body (Yes, even on my "Back Side" if you know what I mean) every time and still on the same bulb. I am starting to wonder how I will know when it is burned out? If it is possibly close to burning out since it stings so much now when I do a treatment. I purchased 2 back up bulbs so I should be okay for some time. I really though it would have burned out by now. I am impressed. So, this is getting long now, but was excited to share my experience. I have been waiting years to save enough money to go and get laser hair removal and so happy i tried this before taking that plunge. I was only months away from making my first appointment. |

THESE PEOPLE SUCH AS DragoN etc are all VISS sales people. Trying for people to get their products. These product's simply dont work. Most people on this forum are sales people. Dont believe it. All lie. Its SCAM!! |
Hahahahaha, that is funny. I am a real person who lives in St George, UT who never heard of this product until I found this forum. Its VERY possible other people who post here are sales people but I can say for myself that I am not and the product is working for me. it has taken about 4 treatments before I was sold but I am a believer now. I have spent money on everything.. And almost on a spa where it would have been 1000's. So.. Anyway, thanks to all the "real" people like me who post on forums like this. |
