It's just marketing hype for SKII - just ignore it. |

I agree this is just advertising.
Its ridiculous to make such general statements like that to scare you into using their products. |

What a load of rubbish!! I'm 35 soon to be 36, so in about a month I will look ugly!!
I just think these research studies sometimes have way too much time on there hands and just want to sell there products to these people and make all these ridiculous claims that if you use there products you will be beautiful forever.
I think if you take care of yourself you can look great for years to come. I think I look better now than I did 10 years ago. Also how many people did the study and who did they study??? Makes you wonder about all these research studies. |

Shame on them for preying on people's (women's) fear to try to market their product - total boycott. |

Yup. I agree with this study. Everyone loses their looks with age. Sorry ladies. |
Suzie - I have to just make a comment, and I hope you don't take offense. But I find many of your posts very negative, you seem to be of the opinion that nothing works. Now, whilst I would say that I'm also a very skeptical person about most anti-aging products, there are definitely measures we can take to keep our skin looking healthy and youthful. Your comment on another thread about the uselessness of peels, for example, struck me as quite uninformed.
Yes, we will all age with time, no doubt about that. But at 35 our faces may have matured, they haven't "aged" as such. I believe our premium biological age is 25, after that our bodies start to "decline". However, these days many women are staying young and vital right up to their 50s. |

Picture taken last August: My 42 year old sister on the left, My 65 year old Mother and myself on right, 4 months shy of my 40th birthday:
Me around 26 years old...you bet your ass I wish I still looked like that (and if I didn't have to prove a point, this picture would never see the light of day, let alone be posted on a public forum )

I definitely think that it's between 50 and 60 that we begin to look "old". I really notice it with actors and actresses that I haven't seen for a while. They turn up on TV and I get a shock at how old they look. (I'm not referring to the "plastic" Hollywood crowd). |

This topic is such a drag and only serves to further enslave people to their insecurities and we all seem to have them to some extent.
I am now almost 52, divorced at age 47, that was a drag! and yes, I know the expiration date feeling...really took me down for awhile, until I got back and started to fly again.
I know this sounds like a bunch of psycho babble junk, but if you do the inside work, the outside work will just happen and you'll feel much better.
I know the feeling - that we become invisible, but the best things happen when you stop caring, stop internalizing. It's a cliché, but I met my love when I gave up looking and opened my mind.
Best to all you beautiful women, BFG |
