Thank you for the suggestions ladies. I will try the coconut route.
My favourite ever lip balm, moisturising but not gooey in anyway was made by candessence. Sadly she is not formulating commercially any more. |

^ its true, they were soooo generous with their knowledge! I used to read back then, but not post. I think they really helped set the tone and inspire everyone here to share without hesitation. I'd never come across anything like it before eds.
I had a bout with very dry lips in the fall due to dehydration & cold weather, I guess, and it took forever to sort out. I tried all the usual suspects, including medicated balms and coconut oil. someone on here suggested zinc ointment, and it was the only thing that did the trick. It took a few days but my lips felt really plump and luxurious afterwards.
