Well crap.
This is advertised as antiaging, is anything sacred? |

So glad to hear I can still take a sauna!
I do agree, everyday we read so much about this now kills, that mames you, and if you dare go near that, well you'll look 90 fast.
Then the next year we hear the opposite ![Confused](images/smiles/confused.gif) |

I got my source from my dermatologist who told me that the other day. Unfortunately I can't find anything online, all things online seem to be pointing to the positive effects of infrared saunas. |
Thank you for your response! Next time you go would you mind asking your derm for references to published research on this? Not in any way doubting you or her, but rather am interested because this is being discussed elsewhere as it would be great to have input from as many professionals as possible. We have science bods around here who can locate and read studies in journals. If you have time and it is appropriate would you mind also asking her opinion on infrared in the context of LED devices?
Thanks again. |
I think you guys will love this site;
Ask The Experts and Specialists In Radiation Safety (Browse around, it's full of great info on all things involving radiation.)
http://hps.org/publicinformation/asktheexperts.cfm
And this one has a place here as well I think;
Ultraviolet-Radiation-Related Exposures
http://hps.org/publicinformation/asktheexperts.cfm
You'll be hard pressed to find anything negative on 'infrared' devices or LED's though. Other than any that involve intense heat (which can have issues for the skin), the wavelengths alone are on the wrong end of the spectrum to cause damage. |

Please don't be afraid to post your quearies to other DIY members who will be glad to help you (or sell you their wares..lol) Still happy with LED, dermarolling and a DIY antioxidant regime. Peace & Hugs to all.♥ |
