I would try to obtain a "micellar" cleanser that is used without water. It's quite possible that the minerals in your water are exacerbating your skin damage and not allowing you to heal. Try not using water at all to cleanse your face, and I agree with the daily internal use of oil of oregano, and topical use of tea tree oil, a very basic moisturizer like Embryolisee Lait-Creme or First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream, or even jojoba or macadamia nut oil, something nourishing. Do this for a month and see what happens. I wouldn't use cerave. Too many additives and irritants.
By the way, have you thought about changing your diet? Cutting out dairy, and other inflammatory foods?
