I have ordered my Pico Toner. My device is stuck with UK customs due to the Easter holidays closing everything down, so I should get it next week.

My gloves, pads and cable arrived yesterday for the Pico Toner.

In a recent videos by Neurotris, the company explained their gloves are based on technology using silver threads to ensure they introduce the least amount of resistance into the microcurrent device circuit. I measured the resistance on the gloves from the stud connector to the finger tips, using my multimeter, the reading was zero(0) ohms, so basically the gloves are not introducing any resistance into the circuit, this means the microcurrent energy is going directly into your skin and not being blocked by the gloves.

I ran the same test on the gloves that came with one of my salon machines, and the resistance was 900 ohms, so my salon machine is having to really push a lot of current into the gloves to get any current into the client's skin/muscles.

Both pairs of gloves were sprayed with water for the test.

Some EDS members have asked about the output of the Pico Toner device, using Program 1 which is used for wrinkle reduction, toning, tightening and lifting:

P1 signature 1 @ 15-30% = 200 - 600uA
P1 signature 1 @ 100% = 1000 -1200uA

So you can use the lower settings for face work and the higher current for body work.

I hope this helps and will report back.

PQ/Philip

Hi PQ,

Thanks for the info. Do you know how the output compares with office machines such as the Beautiful Image? I tried doing a Google search on the Beautiful Image output but couldn't find anything.

Without going through my information on the device, this is from my memory...I may be a little off but this is close
This is in microamps
Beautiful Image is 0-300 on level one
0-500 on level two
0-800 on level three
The directions are to use each level in a session for all holding positions on the face. If someone is more sensitive then the third level might not be the best for them....third level is used for the body.

The Pico Toner gloves current for the body is higher and I think it is more effective for body treatments than Beautiful Image....skin and muscles on the body are thicker and that stronger current is more effective for me.I also like not having to use gels with this unit. I am seeing more lift with the Pico Toner and I am now using it on my friends along with one phase of the Beautiful Image. They have reported more lift and their treatments are lasting longer with the lift. Also using the gloves seem to make the skin softer and my guess is there may be exfoliating going on with the use of the gloves.

Does anybody know the measurements of the package and the weight, which the PICO is sent in?

another concern is that on its website it says you can lose fat and tone your body. Could you lose fat in your face? That would be a concern for me.They also have a section on their website where you can post reviews and there isnt even 1 review posted.

The Neurotris web site forum is under maintenance so all the posts have been temporarily taken down until maintenance is complete.

The Pico Toner seems to have been out for a year.

Microcurrent will not cause fat loss. The company makes numerous machines and some are designed for the body that are geared toward fat loss (they are way more expensive) ....maybe you were pulling up that information.

The Pico Toner does not use heat and is not burning or destroying anything as it is microcurrent, not RF or Ultrasound. The Pico Toner uses low level electrical energy and signals to condition the face and body that will trigger the body’s normal biological processes to respond. Therefore, for the face, you hopefully will tone, tighten and increase collagen, elastin, ATP, Improve overall and circulation.

The information for the Pico Toner is below:

• Reduce Fine Lines & wrinkles
• Facial Lifting
• Stimulates Production of Collagen & Elastin
• Tightens Pores
• Improves Overall Tone

Nuface...yes it has been around for a long time and is sold on many sites as well as QVC. It is a great machine for it's time and for what it can be used for. Also it is a simple signature of microcurrent while the Pico Toner is changing current every ten min. and is advanced technology compared to Nuface.

I would be interested to see someone that uses only the Pico Toner and no professional microcurrent machine....my guess is it is a stand alone device...just saying Wink

Hi Toby I asked this question in the wrong thread. Do u still use face exercise with microcurrent or does it replace it?

Somewhere I had a great post explaining my journey from facial exercises to microcurrent but I couldn't find it. The answer is no, I no longer use facial exercises....stopped a year ago when I got serious with microcurrent treatments. Facial exercises can lift the muscles for sure, but even though I would start out looking good the first couple of months of doing facial exercises I quickly developed problems no matter which program I used. I had issues with under eye wrinkling, mouth pouches, and cords showing up in my neck, as well as looking gaunt under the cheeks as a result of facial exercises. Microcurrent lifts without all the other issues for me. My face looks fuller in the right places and balanced. Also the skin texture is improved. Aprile has had success using both microcurrent and facial exercises.
As far as the Pico Toner, one advantage the Pico Toner glove unit allows is easy access to lifting the cheek area. You can easily get under the belly of the muscle in the cheek for a lift...this is very important to achieve in the cheek area because it tends to fall with age. If you have a machine with wands it is more difficult to treat yourself and get this kind of lift.
****although my results are very good it didn't happen over night and I continue to see improvement as time goes on. Just remember the time frame as you start microcurrent...I see the response quicker with my friends in their 40's than ones in the 50's. But there is always an exception to the rule and I have a friend 62 that actually responded quicker than anyone. She has never been a sun worshipper(even in her teens) and has taken great care of her skin so that may have something to do with her quick response. She had suffered with rosacea and the microcurrent has really helped that.

i completely understand why you ask this. I think the gloves would get more of a lift and i couldnt find any that would go with my machine. It seems like this one is more convenient in that it is a 20 minute treatment. and they have a patent on their technology. My machine does other things too, so I will still be using it. I will only know after using the pico toner if there is any difference. I truly believe in microcurrent and if it does do even better that a proffesional machine than I feel it is worth the money.I got a good feeling from Patricia , I think she genuinely believes in her product. I spoke with her several time before ordering

I hope this helps. I would be happy to answer any more questions or provide feedback once I get it

I have been using the Pico Toner for almost 4 weeks now. I just came back from holiday and I took it along. Expecting miracles of course I asked my husband whether he can see any positive changes and responded " it just makes you look nice". So ,there were subtle improvements which I did not notice myself , being so critical.
Now this morning (a week later)my face feels very tight and firm and I think my jawline looks more defined, my lips have a bit more volume.
I still have these dreadful mouth pouches but I am hoping for more improvement over time. I am not doing anything else apart from Tanaka massage before treatment and Ultrasound massage 3 times a week.
I am also adding some movements from Christine Byer to the protocol on the DVD and hope this is ok.
In summary- I like my Pico a lot and as Toby stated, give it some time to kick in. Smile

Hi Everyone,

Pico Toner Review:

I have just finished the basic overview of the device.

I have some some results in a couple of sessions, Toby was right, this device really does work and does what is says on the box, I am really excited to see what results I will get in 2 weeks, a lot of thought, research and attention to details has gone into the design and production of this device.

My first review is online with a follow up in 2 weeks, I will be using the device everyday until my next and final review.

http://homebeautydevices.wordpress.com/2013/04/08/pico-toner-review-2/

Enjoy.

I'm truly delighted that we will be able to purchase the Pico on a payment plan hopefully with little additional charges...see email from Patricia below:

Hi Mary

Thank you for the interest in our product. I did receive your email. We are in the process of offering a payment plan, and it will be coming soon. I will probably go for the Pico toner once we get the code for the goods Laughing Whomever got that deal for us - a big thank you.
And as always thanks goes to Toby who keeps me on my toes, on the cutting edge and wanting more Wink
And of course to Philip (PQ) who helps in countless ways - most recently by giving a long and deliberate answer regarding his extensive gadget usage to a question I had.

I'm off to read the layering chart - (maybe it's similar).
Where would we be without EDS?

Totally agree with everything you said Sis - it's so nice to have PQ giving us the real scoop on all the technical particulars and Toby who always knows the latest and greatest devices out there!! Looking forward to more info about a payment plan option/and or coupon code. That is awesome news!! So many gadgets, so little time. Lol! Laughing

Quick update on the Pico Toner, I started using it on Saturday - so 6 treatments.

I used P1 on day 1 and P2 on day 2 etc....

Very dramatic results with my neck and jaw areas, very firm, lifted neck area, great skin texture, very impressed. More to come, I am sure.

The way I was trained was exactly as you described.

I used the same pinching/lengthening techniques with all the machines I have used including the Microlift by Caci.

I am following the user manual for EDS and blog readers so you get the customer experience feedback, but once I have finished the review, I will use the device as I would any of my MC machines.

So I will let you have feedback after next weekend on the results using traditional MC movements.

So you are totally correct in your assumption, unless anyone else knows more about the Pico?

Philip - given that you are seeing results from using the device in the manner recommended by Pico, what explanation do you have for this considering that you are not using the "tried and true" techniques?

I'm particularly interested in this because, as a microcurrent user, I am never convinced that I am doing the technique properly. To my way of thinking, using the gloves and doing a "simple" massage yet still getting the lifting results seems too good to be true.

K

There is a technique use called "gliding" where you just glide across the skin using probes, to stimulate the cells to produce ATP/collagen. And I have seen results with my CACI where gliding alone has improved skin texture and tone.

As I said in my review my results after 2 treatments were:

Firmness
Plumpness of lips
Skin/jaw line tightened
Under eye smoother

I didn't use the words lifting.

You can achieve skin firmness by using the gliding technique, with gloves, that would be laying the gloves over the skin.

Lips - you tend not to pinch the lip muscles I tend to just place the probes either side of the lips and glide across them - which I did with the gloves.

The jaw area - I place the gloves either side of my neck and just held the large neck muscles in the gloves, the neck is difficult to cover with probes, so I think this technique with gloves is a great improvement. On my jaw, I had the gloves either side of my jaw/cheek and just held the area with a slight lifting.

My under eye area which is much smoother, I place the negative glove on my forehead and smoothed the under eye area with my fingers on the red glove.

So I am seeing results with very basic holding and gliding movements.

Once I have finished the review, I will use the gloves as I would my probes, to lift and smooth, plus glide and hold. It is all about results, so using the mirror whilst you are using the device is essential to know what works for you.

I wonder. Would it be a problem to use the pico on the face for 20 minutes and later on the day on the body for 20 minutes?
when using on the upper arms how does it work then with the gloves, when doing it yourself?

here are some videos I found, using the gloves
http://www.tudou.com/programs/view/zbW7ZWkjAqk/ 5.40 min. in the movie
(neurotronis) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KW89PDzxMkM
7 min. in the movie.

20 mins on the face and then you can treat as many body parts as you want.

Arms - wear the postive glove on the hand without a plastic inner and then the negative glove on the arm/muscle/skin.

I haven't changed my battery since Dec. and sometimes I do my face and then my body so that is two treatments each time a use it. It is amazing that a AAA battery could produce such a strong current that it does for the body but trust me it does!

My Pico is shipping this afternoon!
Really excited about it.

I used the code EDS for 2 free 8 oz bottles of the spray and it showed up in my cart, but my order confirmation didn't acknowledge that the code had been used. I emailed, asking about it and got a nice reply from "Tony" who said the code was good and he'd make sure the extra bottles were included.

Hoping for some firming around the jaw line and above the eyes, but does the Pico do anything for the lines above the lip or the area around the mouth? That's my biggest concern. I'm hoping that as the jawline firms up, it will take all up with it! Laughing

ETA:

doodles - that's interesting about using water instead of the spray! Curious to see how that works for you. Certainly will be a lot cheaper. Very Happy

And PQ and marcia - the 15 sprays ... that is 15 sprays on each glove? That sounds like a lot!

I'm gonna bug you guys like crazy with questions when my Pico gets here! Embarassed

Lay the finger of the positive glove over the lip area and have the negative nearby to complete the circuit. Use the sinch movement around the neck and jaw area for firming and lifting.

Panos, perhaps you would like to learn qigong. Ken cohen on youtube can teach you about it. With gigong the inner subtle body gets treated and ups its ampage.
