Exercise Induced Oxidative Stress is a pretty well known concept. I'm kind of surprised that it sounds like most people here haven't heard of it.
Do a Google Search for:
Exercise Induced Oxidative Stress and see what you get. |

It's easy to "prevent" skin aging if you manage to avoid life problems, but in my case I had 2 years of severe insomnia. I'm more interested in seeing people who rebuild or recover, rather than someone who just so happens to have been able to do all the right things (which was me, up till a couple years ago). |
Yes, I know what you mean, bellabambiina; and this is why I will never stop telling both my positive and negative experiences with face exercises. Every day we have new people joining the forum who have the same issues previously discussed and who have not yet read past suggestions. And someone like you who did everything right for years (like me) then suddenly everything went wrong (like it did for me) can appreciate a story like mine that proves that things can get better again. So can someone who doesn't do everything right to begin with and finds himself/herself in that position where things are just not right. Knowing there is someone who was able to fix problems after they existed IMO is inspiring.
But a story like Oleda's isn't just for those who did right from the get-go or those who are still in their 20's like she was when she started self-preservation. Her story is a testament to the fact that sowing the right seeds will help you reap good fruit--even if that means starting later in life because you do slow down the downward spiral when you stop bad habits and start to cultivate good ones. And if you need examples of late starters who were able to get impressive results, look at Eva Fraser (www.evafraser.com) and Carolyn Cleaves (www.carolynsfacialfitness.com) who both started face exercise in their 50's and see how good they look.
So don't get discouraged because you may have been dealt a harsh blow or because you haven't been kind to your body until now. It's never too late to turn things around. And thank God for people like Oleda who show us that what we might have thought impossible is truly possible. Results like hers inspire us to aim for the stars. Even if we never reach them, like Oleda who started her journey early and had a smooth flight up, we will certainly soar above some clouds and find ourselves at a place that previously seemed out of reach.
