If you haven’t seen Deb Crowley’s photos at 65 you have to look at them! If she hasn’t had some kind of cosmetic surgery, and I don’t believe she has, anyone looking to hold their looks should be doing facial exercises. She started training when she was quite young and has all her photos up to compare with. I love being been able to study her face at different ages because they show such a gradual aging process going on. Could you ask for more? I know I don’t care about looking 20 again but to look that good at 65 is a goal worth working towards. Yes I own the her program |

Hi Everybody,
Thank you all so much for all your compliments. So...I want to share something with you (those who don’t own FE)
Keeping your eyes in good shape is not just about thickening the lid muscles; it’s just as important to thicken the skin. This is something you can do everyday...when you get in bed at night.
A portion of the facial massage I teach addresses the eyelids; I called the maneuver‘skin rolling'. The purpose is to break down loose connective tissue where fat cells accumulate, such as under the eye. Breaking this tissue down restores elastin, collagen and tone and thickens the jack out of the skin! I know the words ‘break down’ sounds scary but that is what facial training is pretty much all about... break down - build back stronger.
Upper Eyelids / Lower Eyelids
With the pads of your thumb and index finger, lift the upper lid skin in a pinching manner. Roll the skin between your fingers in a side-to-side motion. Work across the entire lid, from corner to corner. Do the same with the lower lids.
You can work the entire eye area...from the crow’s feet area up to the brow bone.
This will feel a little uncomfortable at first but in a short time will start to feel great!
Abigail
Thank you for this thread. To tell you the truth I was pretty uncomfortable putting the link on the other thread. Hope you’re doing well with your training. See you in Workshop.
Fawnie
Thank you for the link
BTW... my eyes are not that color of green you see in the photo (at least on my PC)... my eyes are olive... for some reason in the pic they look almost teal (I wish)
Sorry for such a dead-pan front facial shot... didn’t want to move my lips (smile) to the point you couldn’t tell how the area around my mouth looked.
Again, thanks everybody |

I’ve been looking at the area between Deb Crowley’s eyes, where one would find frown lines. She doesn’t have a hint of a line. Are there any of you here who have done this training that have removed frown lines completely? TKS |
Hi Nelly
I believe you can remove them completely. I haven’t been training with Flexeffect that long but I now have a very visible difference. I’m also doing what Deb suggested about Retin A. I know what Retin A can do. My money is on completely smooth skin in a few more months. I can now see the muscle roll under the frown area when I flex it! The muscle has obviously lifted the area but just like Deb said I believe from here out all the skin training plus the Retin A is all I need. I’ll keep you posted.
BTW I got my program on sale. I don't know if it is still on sale but if it is, it is so worth it. |
With all the talk here about Retin-A I thought it might be a good idea to mention the importance of sun-block (not sunscreen) and an excellent one that I use. I know all of you that use Retin-A are very much aware of the need for sun-block but I want to share with you a sun-block that I think is excellent, especially in winter. It’s put out by ‘Ocean Potion’ - FACE spf 45 Clear Zinc Oxide. It’s white in the jar but completely clear when you rub it in, also thick enough to prevent your face from dehydrating in cold wind (huge plus) It feels every bit as good as a super rich moisturizer, works well under make-up (not greasy) and no stinging. You can purchase it from Amazon. The 1.0 oz jar goes a long way. There are always deals on it but generally runs around $5.00 per jar.
Deb
Oh..Yeah HAPPY NEW YEAR!! |

I agree with TheresaM,
Once a person knows his or her face “through training” adding or deleting exercises from any and all programs is perfectly fine. Everyone’s face responds differently to each and every exercise due to the amount of fast twitch fiber / slow twitch fiber per muscle. Everyone has a different ratio. That’s why you’ll hear at times “that exercise gave me monkey mouth...or... I love the way my mouth looks” Each muscle of the face has it s own make-up. Therefore when training, picking and choosing one exercise over another is a no-brainer. Also, the idea that target training is a no-no is completely ridicules. In order to build symmetry, for some, spot training is an absolute must. Facial symmetry is just as much of a goal as it is in bodybuilding. Depending on the program, changing an exercise should simply mean approaching the muscle from a different angle or changing intensity. You might say ...well what about a person simply doing JUST target training... no problem. In time the person will more than likely see how effective the training is and decide to go for broke (entire program) or simply start targeting training a different area. NO damage has been done. I do understand that everyone who has trained KNOWS a complete program is the way to go, but, to say target training is bad for the face simply isn’t true. |
