hello everyone
with all the raves of Is Clinical, i can't resist and must absolutely try.
PLEASE any assistance from long-time/experienced users will be VERY MUCH appreciated.
i'm 39 yo with light-med complexion, not prone to acne, fine pores, fine skin texture, some freckles. i have extremely dry skin. it is thin, sensitive, and reactive to products (even organic and natural products) and emotional stress. i have some rosacea but under control for now. i have very fine wrinkles on my face and eyes, but believe or hoping it is due to my extremely dry skin.
overall, my skin is not bad, but i would like to start using Is Clinical, accumulate experience with it, perhaps use it as a treatment every once in awhile, and be able grow old with it. right now, i would love to see a WOWOWOW and improve the condition of my fragile/thin skin.
i've been reading thread after thread, so i have done the ground work but would absolutely LOVE any feedback and tips, PLEASE with sugar on top!
right now, in my EDS shopping cart, i have...
-IS Clinical Pro-Heal Serum Advance+ (30ml / 1.0oz)
-IS Clinical Super Serum Advance+ (30ml / 1oz)
-IS Clinical Poly-Vitamin Serum (30 ml)
-IS Clinical Hydra-Cool Serum (30 ml)
i have not pushed the 'check out' button because there are a few things that i'm not certain about....
1) do i need the IS Clinical Active Serum (30 ml)?
2) in the shopping order there are 3 serums and 1 moisturizer (Hydra-Cool Serum). do i need more moisturizer? do i add an IS Clinical Moisturizing Complex (50 ml)? or double up on Hydra-Cool Serum? or may i use a valmont moisturizer on top? *i have a whole refrigerator full of valmont creams and wish they wouldn't go to waste*
3) i read the Is Clinical YOUTH COMPLEX thread, but wondering how this serum compares. i couldn't or don't remember any feedback on the use and effects of this product. should i add to my cart???
4) from reading the posts, i see there are Is Clinical users that have been using the products for years. i assume everyone is still using it, and re adjusting their regime every once in awhile, depending on their needs? and still maintaining great results years later???
i'm sorry for all the questions, i just like to order everything at once and have it ready for use.
TIA TIA TIA!!! |

I have rosacea and cannot use the Poly-Vit, it makes my skin flush. I would substitute the Poly for the Active and use the Proheal in the morning and Active at night, followed by the HydraCool.
Youth Serum is okay, not a wow product so I personally won't reorder, but some women here love it.
Super Serum is okay too, but my derm believes that Proheal gives more bang for the buck. You can order both and alternate the Super at night between the Active if you don't need it every night.
If you need more hydration than just the HydraCool, then I would use your Valmonts over it at night.
Hope that helps, I have been using IS for years and it's a must have line for me above all else. |

thank you very much AnnieR. i was scared no one would see my post since the forum threads were moving so quickly on sunday. thank you. thank you.
i'm going to mull that over for a day. i want to click the buy button and get started right away but then don't want to be rash and buy stuff that will hurt my skin.
Annie, when you have time... since you have rosacea too (me too)...
did you find SuperSerum or Active serum harsh for your skin? (i thought i read that activeserum was harsh and superserum was hydrating. its difficult to keep up in the threads with pple's different skin types & needs)
and you use Is Clinical on a regular basis, or do you take some time off every now and then. and you've experience Long Term effects of this regime?
thank you very much, Annie. i really appreciate it. much love to you! |

Hi Ilina, I noticed that you live in Toronto. I was told Is Clinical was unavailable in Canada from EDS, they don't ship out of the States. Has this changed? |

hey,
yup, i'm in to. i emailed EDS with questions about what i needed and asked for certain products. it says to call or email them. i found that i could add items to my cart. i haven't heard back from them yet. i'm sure i will. they're very good with communication. for now i'm just going to gather as much info as possible, and do a final decision in the next day or so.

i just pressed "add to cart". try pressing the button, does it work for you? |

Ilina, it just states not available online and that Is Clinical cannot be shipped outside of the United States. Rather a disappointment, I wanted to try the Youth serum at one time. |

did you try clicking on the "add to cart" button? do you see the 'add to cart' button?
if it doesn't work, just contact EDS. they have a toll free # and or just email them. |

llina,
I am cross posting this from our other thread! BTW Thanks for the hearty laugh before bed last night!
Hello Sweetie!
I never used the IS clinical line I understand you are supposed to have a skin care specialist address your specific issues and then they recommend a specific regime for each individual! I am lucky to have disgustingly normal skin without sensitivites!
I have a link for you it reviews both the pros and cons of the line!

The Active Serum is not overly harsh and I use it every third night, but not every night. The Super Serum is nice, but Proheal gives a nice result as well. I alternate them when I have both.
I have taken time off every few months when I am out of them, but always go back.
My sis-in-law and son also use IS Clinical. So does my hubby when I am not looking! People tell me my skin is very nice and ask me what I use (although I don't think so but my magnifying mirror is too blame), I always say IS CLinical! |

yesterday was too weird. i was reading like a maniac on Is Clinical and the lip pumpers on EDS... all the while kept bumping in to arielstar and sister sweets. and it looked like to me, that sister sweets was keeping up with AS... and there were times where SS seemed like she was losing it, then it was quiet, then that post. maybe i'm reading it wrong, probably, but it made me bust a gut. i was stil laughing while brushing my teeth.. and made my oral b click clack. like SS just gave up and in a sweet way was pointing something out to AS. i think it was just a weird weird day.
girl! you have the most amazing resources. i'm gonna call you wikipedia from now on! k, going to the site now. (was reading everything there was available on EDS on this product. from my interpretation, it seems natural and safe enough, with great results to add! however, more reading is always good. don't want to start something harsh or too crazy.
thanks a million angel.
btw, i emailed eds about IC and no reply yet. last night i clicked on all the 'add to cart' buttons, and all the items got added to my shopping cart. i don't know if it will let me checkout but i'll wait for a reply. |

Always happy to enable another IS Clinical addict!
I have tried every one of their products, including every serum, cream, sunscreen and cleansers, but those are still my only reorders. Proheal, Active, Hydra and Super in that order. I once spilled my Proheal Serum and cried like a baby! |

It was over the sink and away it went. I got as much as I could but it was contaminated.
If you ever go back to some of the original IS thread here I had posted that and several others had posted their horror spill stories as well.
I love what Proheal does for my skin. I noticed the biggest change in the very beginning as my skin has adjusted more now to it. I hope you love it. |

I started using is clinical line a month ago and I love it.
cleanser
hydro cool
proheal
moisturizing complex
eye complex
sunscreen (haven't made up my mind about it yet)
planning to reorder all of them and will try youth complex
I am currently on tazorac .1% ,and 1-2 times a week I use benzoyl peroxide (when my skin gets too clogged).
I also get microdermabrasion every few weeks...my skin has improved tremendously in the past six months (i wish i had taken a before pic) |

I am 35 yrs old and I'v had acne since I was 11 yrs old. I still break out and have scars and pitted skin that cloggs very easily (mostly whiteheads). March of last yr. I decided to stop everything and went to a derm. I started very aggressive microdermaabrasion every 2 weeks, along with Tazorac and benzoyil peroxide. Washed with Cetafil and only Cetafil moistrizer.
When I added IS Clinical products, I think it is added moisture to my skin. my skin is glowing now, and scarring have reduced, I have been getting compliments on it. Still break out a little(2-3), but acne is under control now. |

thanks evelin.
i was almost ready to buy the whole is clinical regime a while ago... but i was not certain. i kept teethering back and forth with my decision. now that your feedback is so good... i'm torn again. i think i'll have to buy it soon!
right now i'm in the middle of my 'hair project' and have already spent $5000 on hair products. and of course i'll have to squeeze in the clarisonic opal when it debuts shortly.
i most definitely will be getting the is clinical for myself and mom, next month. i think i can squeeze it in! thanks so much for your response. you're awesome!
ps for scarring and discolouration which did you find most beneficial? proheal or hydro cool? are you using them together? and are you not using the active, like active, super serum, or advance, or multivitamin? TIA!! |

keep in mind I've also been using microdermabrasion (in doctor's office) and tazorac. I don't know how much of the effect was from Is clinical, but I definetly like the products. I like hydro cool especially.
I heard (haven't used it) that active is good too.
btw if you are in ny I maybe able go get you dicsount from my aestetitian (she does not sell by mail as far as i know).
good luck with the products |
