Thanks to everyone for some honest weighing in. The STOP is an expensive gadget and I know in this economic climate it's imperative to budget our beauty bucks. One of my (many) beauty resolutions of 2009 was to not give in to immediate rave reviews and to allow a gadget to stand the test of time; Time enough to weigh the pros and cons. My primary fear with the STOP was that it would have the thermage effect of "melting" fat that I've read about here and other sites.

Again thanks everyone for your very helpful reviews.
I'm glad for those of you this product worked so magically for - that's marvelous. For me - the $$$ outlay isn't worth the risk of low - no results. Guess I'm going to rely on faithful use of facial exercises to plump and raise my skin. And maybe I'll get that dermaroller finally.

I believe you are "right on" in regards to facial exercises and the dermaroller. I am going to start the exercises right after I go thru the book again (Ageless) and I have what I call the sissy dermaroller.

I bought a Tua Viso about 18months ago and went mad on it for a while and did see good results on the lower face, mainly round jaw line. However I don't think the results were as pleasing as I'm seeing now with Stop.I was a bit wary about using TV round and under the eyes though this is one of the areas they claim will improve. Similarly with Stop I have been wary of going too close underneath and tend to just position it on the smile lines and crow's feet. as I said, those lines are definately improved.

Everyone who is interested avoiding face lifts, fillers, and such should do facial exercises. Myself and Toby have been doing them for about two years and are very strong supporters of facial exercises. NONE of the gadgets can substitute for facial exercises, but gadgets can compliment them

I wrote in another thread that I was using Oligo.DX on my neck and jowls and it is working. It is a spot reducer. It won't tighten the skin. It is also supposed to get rid of cellulite, but I haven't seemed to have much luck with that. You aren't supposed to use it on your face, but I don't care.

Trust me....that is definitely NOT an issue, lol. I only WISH it would have melted some of my fat. Rolling Eyes

I am just very grateful that Toby and Mpstat turned me on to facial exercise...I have paid $$$ for marionette line fillers for the last 3 or 4 years, and will NOT be doing that this year due to Ageless.

And once I get my health issues under control and my weight stabilized, I am hoping the STOP will fine tune things....I can say that I have seen some tightening on my neck though I don't have any pics that depict that.

Well guys, my STOP days are over, and I've mailed it to my younger sister to try out..

After 15 treatments, the increased sag I experienced continues.. (Crepy eye lids up and down, more looseness around the whole jaw + middle of neck, and more pronounced NL fold.) The only positive I had was a softening of the forehead lines, and that is still noted.

A new very weird thing that I noticed starting 5 days ago is pronounced upper lip lines when I purse my lips, and a strange crease right in the very center (The crease is the shape of a lightening bolt.. Shock ). I never had any of this before using STOP, and even though I smoke, I never had noticeable upper lip lines..

So that's it for me... It's back to my LED and Derma Wand, and see if I can undue some of this damage..

Good luck to all of you, and I'll keep my fingers crossed for good results for all!

ETA:... I almost forgot to mention. My right side of my face is not as plump as the left side. I felt this, more than noticed it at first..(when I massaged). When I look closely in the mirror, I do see a slight difference also. I tried doing a few cheek contractions while looking in the mirror, and the right side is decidedly weaker/smaller. (I'm not sure what is going on, or even if it's related to the STOP, but I thought it worth mentioning all the same.)

Kassy, I'm sorry it didn't work out. Sad

I think part of what you are currently seeing is due to deep dehydration from the heat...I am seeing some similarly weird things as well. Confused

Thanks guys!

Actually my skin is in great shape, and really moist and dewy, so I don't think there is any de-hydration..

It's the bloody 'new' sag 'under' the skin that is pissing me off.. Laughing

I'm going to concentrate now on the LED and Derma Wand this week, and see how it goes... (This combination has never let me down, so I'll start with that!)

Kassy - sorry that Stop did not work as well for you as it was expected Sad What I am puzzled about it is even negative outcome that you described. I asked Colleen from Ultragen why it might happened. We seems to have a very broad spectrum of outcomes from very positive to very negative Confused

I got an email from the manufacturer that Stop is sold in several places in UK and now could be shipped to other countries including US.

Here is an email:

Further to your previous inquiry regarding the new, innovative STOP™ clinical skin renewal device, I am happy to inform you that some of the prestigious department stores throughout UK that stock and sell the STOP™ device are now shipping outside UK.

Should you be interested in purchasing the product, I would recommend that you check with the following UK stores; Selfridges, Harvey Nichols and Win Health.

Selfridges has a direct order line +441133698040. Please note that all delivery times and areas are according to Selfridges procedures in which they will advise you if you can proceed with purchase.

Harvey Nichols & Co online store atwww.harveynichols.com / webcustomerservices@harveynichols.com, it possible to telephone regarding an online order by phoning direct to +442089575030. Please note that all delivery times and areas are according to Harvey Nichols procedures, wherein they will advise you further if it is possible to purchase with them.

Lastly, Win Health online store can be found at http://www.win-health.com/. Win Health supports many STOP™ users on the essentionaldayspa.com/forum. The link I have posted gives information about purchasing and shipping outside of Europe from their online store: http://www.essentialdayspa.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=30899&postdays=0&postorder=asc&&start=175.

Should you require any further information or need any assistance, please feel free to contact me at any time.

I actually wrote 2 emails to Colleen in the last 10 days, and haven't heard one word back. I also included a before and after picture that shows significant negative change around the entire jawline and mid neck.

At this point I'm not expecting a reply, but if one comes I'll share it here.

I was willing to continue the STOP once per week, only if I could be assured this sag wasn't related to something detrimental going on under the skin. I suppose at this point, I'll have to take the silence as an indication that; 1. They don't have an answer, or 2. They don't have an answer.. Sad

I packed it off to my sister and niece to give a try, so I'll post their thoughts as they come in.. (I just know that they aren't going to be consistent though, because they seldom have a spare minute for leisure activities.)

Kassy - in Colleen's email they provided a link to THIS thread on EDS for reference. At the time Colleen wrote her email she did not realize that I have been an active member of this very same thread myself! Laughing Since they use this thread for customers' references I would think they should be interested in addressing your questions. Will see.

YOU WOULD CERTAINLY THINK SO. KASSY IS A PERFECT EXAMPLE OF SOMEONE GIVING IT 100% AND THEN POSTING THE GOOD AND OR BAD. IF THEY ARE WATCHING THEY SHOULD AT LEAST SIGN IN AND SEND HER A PM FOR CRYING OUT LOUD OR ANSWER HER EMAILS. IF IT'S SOMETHING THAT CAN BE CORRECTED THEIR SALES WOULD GO THRU THE ROOF IMO. It's in caps because I'm ticked off.

I was recently bought the STOP as a birthday present but I didn't fancy trying it. You're not supposed to use it on skin which has had skin cancer and, though I haven't had it, my mum has and this makes me at risk. I thought better safe than sorry! I've stuck it on ebay - hopefully I'll get a good price for it. I could do with the money these days!!

I'm so sorry you've had such a bad experience with it. I suppose it is no surprise that it will cause problems for some - it's a bit of a scary device!

Kassy - I got a response from Colleen that I am posting below. You might want to re-send Colleen your emails with pictures.

I am sorry to hear about the troubles with the STOP™ device this lady seems to be having. As you have seen, I do read the forum whenever I have time to follow through a full subject. However, I do not feel it would be acceptable that I comment on any of the statements within the forum being from the manufacturer of the product and all. I have felt that it would be an intrusion and perhaps looked upon as a sales/PR ploy and I definitely do not want that. And for this reason I only read the many forums and not joined any.

I have received literally hundreds and hundreds of emails, from inquiries to request for assistance, since June 2008. I would love to say that I remember each and every name and person, but in all honesty I do remember many, but not all.

I am sorry to say that I do not remember receiving these emails from your member with the pictures. If I had, I definitely think I would have remembered because I never receive pictures from anyone. Please note that I am spending time (I already started today and will continue until I find her mails) to go back over all my emails and (even though I do not know her full name or have her email address) I will try to find it with the little information I do have from your forum. Perhaps you can ask her to resend these to me. I take pride in our Company, the product and in my job, which is to answer each and every email as honestly, directly, and with as much information and assistance as I possibly can. I am not perfect, but I would never ignore an email, especially if sent twice.

I do assume that she has completed the treatment properly, as that is all I can do via email. In her statement, she mentioned looking very closely, perhaps she is looking more closely than ever before and she is noticing details that she had not until now. I found this actually happened to me (as it has with other users), as I never looked so closely at my skin until I began looking for changes while using the device.

In addition, I was wondering if she had used fillers and made sure to wait the appropriate amount of time in between the filler treatment and STOP™. Because if the appropriate amount of time interval was not observed, then this could decrease the effectiveness of the fillers, and could therefore cause it to look as though there was sagging due to a reversal or the slight change back to its prior state.

I am not comfortable because I am hypothesizing on something I do not understand completely, and would rather have her contact me once again so that I can discuss the actual situation with her. Just like with this user, I want to assist everyone who might experience difficulties, with the device or the technique, to come to a place where they are truly enjoying their STOP™ experience and the results.

In any case, I do hope that you understand my reasons for not joining your forum (or any other). I did see the very bold uppercase statement and understand this, but feel my entering would be an intrusion on your very open discussion about the product. I do hope everyone knows that they are welcome to ask any question, or for assistance, further information, etc. via ‘Contact Us’ setup on our site and we will always do our utmost to answer promptly, honestly, and informatively.

Should you have any further questions or require any information, please feel free to contact me at any time.

With my most kindest regards,

Colleen

This is another email from Colleen. They have updated and improved documentation on Stop usage. It will be available on the web site and as a separate document:

One more thing, since I just finished the last page of the forum on STOP™ just now…the issues of skin dehydration and such, I just want to stress to treatment time protocol:

Please always remember that treatment is 2-3 times a week, with one-day intervals between each treatment. Since we are working with the natural process of the body, this day of rest is actually a day of work for the skin by rebuilding and generating new collagen, readying it for your next treatment day. Not adhering to this protocol can cause dryness of the skin, which made me think of the statements made about some users skin dehydration.

If I can assist with more information for users in your forum, please let me know. We have created a new document that we will be adding to the kits soon, ‘New User Techniques’. As the treatment is very individual, therefore so is the technique each user adopts due to varying user’s problem areas, user’s age, etc. and many times with new treatments/devices, it can take some time and a bit of assistance to get your personal technique mastered. Should you know of anyone who might benefit from this document, I could send to you as well. We are creating the same information just in a slightly different format for our website as well and should be up shortly.

Again, I do apologize for recognizing that you had purchased already…the emails that I sent out yesterday were from a personal list that I kept separately in my computer (a list of those that I had promised to inform them should I come across a way to purchase). Since my list was not connected to the purchase department’s internal records and I did not double check, I did not realize.

With kindest regards,

Colleen

I have always let more than one day lapse between treatments, so that is certainly not the case with me!

Bethany - Colleen wrote that they came up with more individualized treatments info. I am in a maintenance mode with less frequent treatments, but still I asked Colleen to email me updated instructions.

I also asked about body unit when it will be produced. I am very happy with my Stop, and interested in finding out when body units for consumers will be released.

This sounds good, thank you for you for taking this on Mpstat. I have done four treatments on my hands and fingers and they are really looking so much better. Now if I can get the rest of my body tightened up with a body unit I will be Rocking Dancing

I would love to see those when they come available...thanks for following with her on that.

I would also be interested in a body unit...provided that my weight is stabilized by then!

Just got another email from Colleen on RF body. She confirmed that such units are in works and will be released sometime this year !!! Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy:

... In answer to your query about further TriPollar™ home use products, in addition to the STOP™ clinical skin renewal device, the Company does have new products in development. These products will also be powered by TriPollar RF technology and adapted to home use for other areas of the body. So be on the look out for such products to begin launching within 2009.

I will update you as soon as we have firm information or dates...
