OK, here is my report after using the Yamuna foot balls for about a week. First, I only felt nauseous after the first time. I have done it every night since I got it and one thing I have noticed is that I have slept a solid eight hours each night after. Normally I have very erratic sleep....Some nights are fine, and some nights I wake up in the middle of the night and can't go back to sleep. So this week of solid sleep doesn't feel like a coincidence, but time will tell.
As I mentioned before, the actual "massage" feels mostly good with occasional sore points. Afterwards, my feet feel fantastic and I feel a definite sense of well-being.
Has anyone else tried them? |

Here's a positive update:
Today, when I went to my friends' house for xmas ever dinner, I had just done the Yamuna face ball routine, and when I arrived without any makeup, everyone (everyone!) commented on how good I looked, and my friends even asked me what I was doing that I looked so youthful.
I hadn't even looked in the mirror or put on makeup, I just ran out the door (anticipating cooking for hours with them). I told her about the ball, and she said, "Why didn't you get me THAT for xmas?"

Hi LBH, The facesavers helps with my sleep bit time!! I used to fave to read to get to sleep and still i didn't sleep all night. Now since the Yamuna I fall asleep before I'm done( which poses another problem, as I'm not getting the whle routine in) glad to see the footsavers are helping you sleep
Hi Avalange, that so cool you get compliment like that! I was in the ER about 10 days ago and the nurses said thay had to keep looking at my med records cuz they couldn't believe I was my age. That perked me up, lol |

I just heard about these and was wondering if anyone could update their progress with using these balls.
Do you see a big difference? The website says it's immediate and cumulative. Are you seeing results and if so what kind?
Thanks for any info

I was using it but stopped because I am pregnant and have had morning sickness for months now. I am hoping to start back up but using it while sitting up or on an angle or something, since I can't be flat on my back. Hoping that will still work. I do think it's awesome though, really helps my sinuses too. |

I had stopped using mine but started back using it again this last few weeks. I can totally see a big differece when I use it. It is still helping with my teeth grinding and chin snarl. Also the i'm noticing some relaxation in the neck as well. the muscles don't look so strained when I use the yamuna ball. |

I have been using the faceballs for several months and I still use them every morning. I think I have missed exactly once, though I now spend only about 15 minutes doing it.
I would say the effect is both immediate and accumulative. What I mean is that my baseline face, if you will, is more open and relaxed looking with fewer lines than before Yamuna, evidence of an accumulative effect. But I also notice each day that after doing the massage, my horizontal forehead lines are nonexistent. By the end of the day I start to notice them again.
A permanent result is the complete elimination of any nasal labial lines, regardless of the time of day, though I also should add that I have also been doing Flex Effect five times a week for the same period of time. So really I am not sure how much of my progress should be attributed to each modality. I am not really worried about it because I am just so happy with the results that I plan on continuing both treatments forever. I will say that when doing the portion of the Yamuna massage that affects the cheekbone, I really feel it being pushed up and out, which would naturally diminish the NLLs.
I have totally slacked on the footballs, though it feels really good to do them so I am not sure why I stopped....too little time. |

I still do this, not daily but almost every other day and I always see changes, but to me whats most important is the relaxation benefits of it. You feel so relaxed from it its like having a massage! |

i've been using it every day since, i think november, and love it. all in all the most beneficial thing i've been doing lately i feel: there's the immediate effect, and the hopefully cumulative one, where it really works to teach you to consciously release tension in the face and neck. i'm a big fan. it has helped with some of the gauntness i got from facial exercising (which i did for a couple of years+). i feel that part of the problem there is that it gets the muscles to be permanently tense, which makes them appear defined (think of a defined arm though) and therefore 'knotty' and not at all soft. after a one year total break i've slowly reintroced some back in, mainly for eyes and neck/jaw, but stay all away from the cheeks which for me led to gauntness/furrows. point being--using the yamuna has helped soften things up quite a bit. great find. |

Any updates from anyone regularly doing this? I'm thinking I will order this. I started doing Tanaka and really like it. |

How does Yamuna's face look? I can't really tell from the video, but it looks at least like she doesn't have any sag.
I'm thinking of getting this for my Mom for Mother's day. Not sure if it will get here in time, but that's okay. She has sinus and headache problems, and this sounds like it would help with that. |

Hi Ryan,
There is a black and white photo here I think is fairly recent:

From her video, it looks as if her genetics tend toward gauntness. She is very slim and lean and her face reflects that. It's not a classically beautiful look but I seriously doubt there is much she could do other than surgically adding fat to her face, etc. She seems like she values inner beauty far more than the superficial. And really, that is the quality that shines and "makes her beautiful."
There is another lady I know locally who is a spiritual counselor and she is incredibly wrinkled for her age... looks much older than her years, but absolutely sparkles with radiance.
Yamuna might be what I call 'handsome.' And really I could hope to have that inner peace. |

Used my Yamuna face ball last night. I hadn't used it in a few months. I really enjoy doing this, I just have to make it a habit. It definitely is very complimentary to facial exercises. I feel that my cheekbones are being stimulated even more that when I do the FE pressure reps technique. I also love the exercise where the sides of your eyes are opened up. |

The ball that goes under your neck-do you have to use that while lying on the floor? Or is it possible to lie in bed and use it? I know some people use a pillow, but I was wondering if you could use the ball in bed. I don't think I'm going to want to get on the floor every time. |

At the beginning of the DVD she says you can use a pillow under your head. But, I think she wants your chin pointing towards your chest, not jutting forward. |

I received mine on Thursday and have done it twice already. And wow, that video is long. I'm not sure exactly how long to hold the ball in each place-10 to 15 seconds? And some of the forehead placements seem kind of redundant, no? Or maybe there is a reason for rolling in so many directions there. I do wish the booklet came with it, but I may call to buy it to get more explanations and variations. I read earlier in the thread there are shorter workouts in the booklet.
Once I learn the routine and get it down to a more reasonable time frame, I could definitely see myself doing this before I get out of bed in the morning. I do like the idea of "opening up" that area outside the eye. |

I thought that that booklet contains same exercises but with more detailed information?!
Do you know where to purchase this booklet? The length of the program is the main reason I do this rolling so sporadically |

Hi agatha, this was posted by Sovajo a few pages ago. Bolding mine regarding the shorter workouts.

Hi TheresaMary,
I purchased the pdf manual a couple of days ago, and am VERY glad I did; it's excellent! It's 23 pages, with photo illustrations and detailed instructions. It includes a 5-Minute Session, a 15-Minute Session, a 30-Minute Session, as well as illustrated instructions for Detailed work around the eye; Cheekbone; Outside edges of lips; Detailed work on upper lip; Lower lip; Front of neck; Back of neck.
I'm tempted to say that a person would almost not need the DVD if she/he had the manual, but of course there's nothing like actually seeing the moves being done, and I'm glad to have the DVD.
I simply called the toll-free contact number on their web site and spoke with a very nice, very helpful woman. I told her I had purchased the Save Your Face kit, that I understood there was a pdf manual available, and asked how I could get one. She said she would be happy to send me one, but that its price is $10. I said that would be fine, so she took my name, CC info, etc., and before our conversation was through, I saw the file had arrived in my inbox!
Because the manual is so helpful, I totally agree that it should be included WITH the balls and DVD kit. And $10 is pricey! Still, I wanted it badly enough to spend the ten bucks, and am not sorry I did.
Hope this was helpful! |
