Yes, and I tend to spend ten to fifteen minutes or so, which is much shorter than a salon treatment too. I generally cover all over, but I concentrate around the eyes and do some lifting holds under my cheeks too.

What are others doing?

Hi
Ok got this in mail, used it last night, liked the adorable packaging and it was clean, neat, easy to use. I am confused though as some said they could not use it about a level 2 or 3 or whatever ...I felt absolutely nothing at all using this. Not even at higher setting. I felt ZERO. Granted I am used to the TUA Trend and feeling it....but this reminded me of ultrasound...and I didnt like that part. I love the portability etc. Just thought I would feel something, even small. It said you can test it by doing something odd like putting it under your lip and you will smell a metallic taste, etc. SO how on earth do I know if it is working if I can't feel anything? Just curious.

I realize lots of people say you are not supposed to feel micro current but I am used to feeling the Tua big time. How would I know if this little unit works???? Sigh....I love that there is a place to go to ask all these questions, you all are my saving grace.
Thanks

I would 1) check your batteries, and 2) try it on 5 which is the highest setting. try placing it right next to the inside of your lower eye next to your nose...I always feel something there.

If you feel nothing on 5, I would be concerned if it is working properly.

Also, do you see a green blinking light on the front?

Appreciate the tips. I figured since it came with new batteries, packed neatly, and the blinking light works...it went right on and stayed on whole time, it was good to go. I did try highest setting but not where you mentioned, so good tip. I am not trying to force it to do something it is not meant to do, but I do recall people using it who said they could not go above a 2 or 3, it was too intense. I will try other batteries and the tips you mentioned!!! Thanks

I would also make sure you use a good conducting gel or aloe vera.

Keep us posted!

Thanks again,
Yup even used Aloe V too!! I will keep trying. While Tua is cumbersome, Tua Trend, I like the feel of it pulling, zinging, lifting and it makes sense to me, as someone who is looking for a physical feel. But I realize not all treatments are meant to do that. My TUA is not working well, though...Smile

So this may be a crazy idea, but hear me out....

Many microcurrent machines have double prong tools, and they use 2 of them during lift and hold movements. Plus, they are not marked as positive and negative, as they cycle through positive and negative on each probe.

So what if you had TWO of these little units, and used them just like a unit with 2 sets of double prong probes??

Here is a video example of what I am talking about:
http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=sTpmou2tkqg&feature=related

Can anyone think of a reason why this wouldn't work?

Hi, I ordered this little gadget, mine has arrived with no batteries, just put new ones in, working ok as I tested it on my forehead just above frown area on level five as it indicates on instructions of the one I've received... It sais to use "the nutrition lotion that is applicable to your skin.... If you feel dry in the course of use, please smear additional nutrition lotion."
Does this mean that any lotion that applies some kind of moisture to the skin in enough? I keep thinking/mixing concepts that a "conducting gel" is something special like the Tac Gel which is electrically conductive adhesive for TENS...
Would it be enough to use maybe a salty kind of water mixture like magnesium oil?

I've tried mine out with Aloe Vera, but needed to reapply often as it dried out quickly, tried on level 2, didn't feel anything, just tried it a couple minutes to get the feel haven't actually tried a whole eye forehead treatment. Do you make the moves very slowly and hold? I'm glad the pics with the moves posted here are so clear are very uxeful- Thanks!! Very Happy , but I haven't a clue about the tempo -slow, fast, hold or not... Embarassed

You can't use an oil with microcurrent, it will block it.

What I do is apply usual face serum, then apply Aloe Vera Gel - when it dries out, simply spritz the face with water. This negates the option of having to use a conductive gel which is usually washed off after treatment. This method is particularly useful for these small hand-held microcurrent devices.

Hi! Slow is better, and if your aloe vera dries out spray it with some water. You do NOT want to use any thing with oil in it, as it will not conduct.

I just slide it vertically across my forehead first, then horizontally (2 sides from the middle), and then do some holds. See the NuFace and New Spa directions earlier in the thread for eye and cheek holds.

Here's a chart showing treatment moves. It came with one of my larger machines. But people might find it useful. Sorry about the size!

Keliu, did it have single prongs?

In theory it sounds like a good idea. But I'm not too sure - because the two prongs on the small hand-held devices would be circulating positive and negative currents - so would they just cancel each other out?

With the separate probes one is positive, one is negative and they are kept apart.

Anyway, I'm just speculating - we need someone with more knowledge to reply.

This was for my machine with two separate probes or gloves. The dot above the arrows is the placement of the stationary probe - then the other probe is moved in the direction of the arrow to meet it.

But the basic moves are still applicable for devices like the Nuface or Eyezone (accept the ones around the mouth).

Cookie weighed in and my idea will not work. When you think about the argan gas examples where the electricity goes from one probe to another, it would NEVER go from one double set of probes (device 1) to the other set (device 2). DUH! So much for my great creativity, lol.

Hi and welcome! We discussed the galvanic aspect earlier in the thread. Just keep the level at 1 or 2 for microcurrent.

You are right...I haven't been there in ages. I just kind of felt out of place since I don't DIY, but I do miss some of the people from there!

So tonight I am testing out my BioWave on a mega zit that appeared on my jawbone. Ok, so it didn't become mega until I messed with it. Embarassed

We'll see if a little zapping helps it heal more quickly.

If definitely helped shrink it a bit.....it was significantly smaller this morning.

It also helped rapidly heal a burst blood vessel (think bruise with a lump in the middle) where my sister's dog nipped me.
