PPlum,

I used the old formulation.

Bira, she uses the vaseline with the RL as the RL goes on the lash line only. She uses it on the tips. I started too as she swears it helps the whole thickening process and her mascara looks so much better than mine when she uses the vaseline.

Thanks Blacklace. I'll have to try this trick, too, then.

Well the more expensive has an expiration date of 1/09
the least expensive is 3/09.
So both are new releases, just different expiration dates.

I would post the URL but I'm not sure this is allowed.

There is about 20 dollars difference and the more expensive one is getting more bids. LOL

ok hope this isnt going to sound terribly dumb Rolling Eyes but what happens if you stop using it? Does it get your lashes to grow and if you stop they revert back to what they were or worse? I have long lashes and very rarely ever wear mascara (maybe thats why they are still great) BUt I am tempted to try RL or Jm as I am so curious BUT am a little scared as I wonder what happens if and when I stop using it..... it makes me wonder about mascara ...I use eyeliner all the time but probably only wear mascara once a month or so only if I am wearing really heavy eye makeup.....unless your lashes are completely blonde perhaps using more eyeliner and no mascara on most days would help....
anyway .....back to my question....what happens if and when you stop using the product?

If you stop using either RL or JM or lashes will simply over time revert to what they looked like before you used it, you need to continue using the product to maintain results ...a boondoggle for the companies!

I've been using JM since February and at 3 months - almost to the day - my lashes looked amazing. I was about to give up, but read a post that the full results will be apparent in no less than 3 mos. So I stuck it out and this week I have had more people ask if I'm wearing false lashes. Seriously, I'm impressed. I have typical short, straight, Asian lashes, so I am tickled pink! Actually, they're so long, my top lashes have been getting caught on my bottom lashes! And I've stopped curling them because when I do and then apply mascara, they are crazy long! I've been applying it at night only, so I think I'll go to every other night now. My only complaint is that although they're longer, they are not thicker.

I took some pics of my lashes to show results from using Lush Lash. If you all want to see them, go to http://www.essentialdayspa.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=23754

I will probably keep the pics up for a week.

I think my old formula tube of JM will run out any day now. I have been struggling with what to get next. I have had decent growth with the JM (bottom lashes are quite impressive, top is just ok). and there was a time it seemed to revert, which sucked. My eyes have been really irritated lately, and I'm afraid it might be the JM. I want to stop using it and see how my eyes feel, but I'm afraid to lose any of the growth. I wish I knew which one I would get results with and that wouldn't be irritating! Does anyone complain of irritation with revitalash? I know there are a fair amount of JM users that complain of it...

Thanks for the pics ladies. They certainly are up close and personal!!
I have been using RL for over 2 weeks and can see some results. I cant tell if it is old or new, as there is no use by date. However, I am happy. I chose this over JM as that seems to report irritation in some people. I would like to new if the new JM is less irritating, and which people prefer?

Thank you for all your sweet compliments, Pippi_Plum! I don't know if I would call them beautiful, but they are certainly longer and thicker than they were! I had no idea my lashes were so puny until I heard about the lash serum craze! But now, certainly, I have fun putting on mascara, despite the fact that one eye has nicely thick and even lashes and the other is kind of spidery... Shock

Thanks again--btw, have you made a decision? Wink

Go with Revitalash - it really does work. I was very sceptical about it but after 3 months my lashes look really thick and long. I have them dyed every 5 weeks and in the morning just use Ardell and curl my lashes. Mascara was the one thing I could never do without as I felt naked without it but not so now. The other day I decided to use mascara and someone thought I'd had lash extensions done. I didn't have any side effects whatsoever and so far - no fallout other than what I consider to be normal. I use it every night top and bottom lashes and then coat lashes with Ardell.

So does this mean that JM doesn't work long term? How long are your lashes in mm or cm?

I doubt if its the old , if it is they will advertise it as such and sell it for 250! I am glad I snagged 2 tubes of the old stuff last year. I believe now there IS a difference between the new and old formula. The old formula worked on just about everybody and gave awesome results.the new formula works for SOME people but not for everyone. Its clear to me from reading all the feedback on the net that there is a clear difference and you will just have to buy the new formula to see if you are one of the lucky ones. I noticed on all the reviews that either people would praise the new JM as saying it really worked for them or they would curse it and say it didnt work at all.The old formula never got those kind of reviews almost everyone agreed it worked wonders.I wish carrie would start selling lush lash.

I think I've made up my mind to go with Revitalash next. MUA has mostly great reviews for it.

I'm so glad there's a topic on this, since I just logged into the forum specifically to check about opinions on the new JM, vs. RL. During the time that the "old" JM became obsolete, I ordered Revitalash instead, and got AMAZING results from it within ~ 2 months... then months later, I got the JM that I had pre-ordered , and I must have gotten the new formulation... I decided to start using it, and slowly but pretty surely, my lashes started reverting back to normal... I didn't really pay too much attention to this, but started mixing it up, using RL somedays, and JM others... and noticed re-growth... so I've switched back to RL, and my lashes are going back to Wonderful again! I'm pretty sure that I wasted my time with JM (unfortunately, now I have 2 tubes of the new JM, and only very little RL left, and I'm HOPING that RL hasn't decided to change their formulation either!!)
well, that's MY story at least...
has anyone else tried both and noticed that JM is not as effective?
