Hi Skippie,
You really are having quite the success! Your lips are fuller and they have a very pretty shape! I agree with Mars. Your chin area also looks smoother. I've posted before about how beautiful your skin is. I have total "skin envy!!" |

To be perfectly honest, I started using a lotion mask on my skin this past week, and I think that's the reason my skin is looking so good in that last picture. For the first time ever, I felt that I could go without foundation and not be totally embarassed. |

Thank you for sharing and posting you pictures.
What is Lotion mask, btw?
TIA |

I'm giving you the link to the thread I started a couple of weeks ago on the lotion mask: http://www.essentialdayspa.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=35850
I had seen the mask discussed on a couple of blogs which I reference in the thread. I have now purchased the book "Japanese Skincare Revolution" by Chizu Saeki, and she is really big on the lotion mask. There's also a Youtube where you can see her demonstrating the lotion mask. I bought Shiseido The Skincare Hydro Nourishing Softener to use as the lotion. I absolutely love what it's doing for my skin. |

Skippie, what did you buy for the mask material? Are you following any other advice from Chizu Saeki's book? And you do this every day? |

Riley,
I first used these rectangular cotton pads that were in layers I could pull apart. However, I ended up with lint everywhere, so this weekend I went in Sally's and bought a package of cotton absorbent pads that are used by manicurists. They're very thin and I cut them up into strips.
I haven't used any of her other advice yet, but I want to try the water massage and her other massage techniques. I also bought a shower cap, because she recommends putting it over the lotion mask while you're taking a bath. |

Thanks, Skippie. How long do you keep the mask on? |

I leave it on 3 minutes which is what she recommends. I also use the lotion mask on my neck although her book and video don't show it being used there. |

Does it matter what lotion you use? Im trying to see what lotion she's using. She looks great for her age. Im gonna buy her book soon. |

The lotion is sort of a cross between a toner and a serum, at least in my opinion. I've never used anything like it before. The one she lists in her book is the NARSskin Hydrating Freshening Lotion. I was looking for one with no alcohol. I thought all the Shiseido The Skincare softeners were alcohol-free, but the one I bought does have alcohol. |

faeriedust,
I did consider the Kose lotions, but they do have alcohol from what I saw discussed about them. I just ordered the Shiseido Pure Balancing Softener which IS alcohol-free and less expensive. I got it from Sephora with the 20% coupon that was posted elsewhere (thanks to those of you who posted that). |

Skippie, just curious if you ever checked into the Kose masks where you pour the liquid on top of them? |

Riley, I did consider purchasing those mask tablets, but they were so expensive for the quantity I would receive, especially since I wanted to use the mask everyday. If you're not going to use it everyday, I think the tablets would be a better option. |

I don't know that the cotton is particularly important. In the book, she does mention her own brand but for those in the U.S., she lists Miss Webril 100% cotton skin care pads. Since I've only used the one lotion, I do wonder about what differences would result if I used another lotion. She says the lotion mask will make your skin supple and refine its texture. She also says the mask helps the active ingredients in the lotion penetrate your skin. I'm using a hydrating lotion rather than a brightening lotion, which are the two kinds she mentions. |

On my 13th day of the Green Tea and LED and I have to echo skippie who I think said that this is the first thing they have done that has actually worked.
I did start back with CP's (diluted SuperCop Serum) 2 weeks before this...but I really feel the improvements are coming from the GT/LED.
So far I have notice a definite improvements in the dimply skin around my chin, cheekbone area which was already good looks brilliant, pigmentation "possibly" a little better, forehead lines reduced.....no improvement yet to crepey undereyes.
I am also treating one hand, to see how that repsonds.
Anyone else have any updates?

Snowqueen67 I noticed that you have the LedMan unit. I'm trying to decided whether to get this or another kind of Led.
I'm slightly worried that the design isn't that ergonomic, and it will be a pain to hold after a while.
Do you find it easy to use? |

Snowqueen,
Are you leaving the green tea on your face for 20 minutes ....how long do you leave your led on each section of your face..are you using the ledman unit..if so are the leds 630's, 660's, 590's?
It is very exciting that you are also getting tangible results from this method. |

Sadly, I'm not seeing results as fast as I did at first, but I do think there are still some changes.
