My apologies to being off topic asking questions about ghee and H2o2 - both were mentioned in earlier posts in a proper context, and I was missing some info and should have just PMd people.
At least both of these issues were informative, and perhaps of use to someone unlike empty rhetoric and pontifications.
Reiki Facial is indeed quite interesting, so is gua sha.
Hope JR will post a link for Gua Sha.
Regarding Kassy's Cellfood cream - I still like it (only have it for 2 days) and can see my skin being much calmer; use it underneath my regular regimen (Living Libations serum + cream). |

First I wish to thank those who have shared there experiences with energy based skincare. I seldom post anymore as I worry that threads will turn out as this one has. I am very much into energy healing and am certain there will be little is any argument regarding it's effectiveness in the next decade or so.
I love ozone (use it in my car, house & drink ozonated water thruout the day) , I also love ASG & started back on it at SSweets rec & am happy I did. Regarding EMF's - it's simple - they are not safe. If you have wireless in your house seriously consider removing it. In terms of protection my husband says this product (http://www.aulterra.com/)is as far as he knows the best on the market.
For overall healing the Healing Codes has been of great assistance to me & others I know. And since this IS a skin forum - yes it has helped my skin greatly. I think this will benefit all who wish to use it & this does include those with mental/personality disorders (or for that matter any emotional or physical issue)in case any are reading. I wish health & happiness for all!
I have absolutely NO affiliation with any of the products I use or recommend. |

Cabrita, I also have some low-level ozone generators in my house....3 to be exact, lol. They are my secret for removing litter box odor, and I could not live without them! (fyi that I use the Critterzone...no affiliation with them)
I do have wireless in my house, but don't see a way to do without so I will check the product you recommended above. |

Re.: Cellfood gel recommended by Kassy - excellent find; my reactive skin has no negative reaction whatsoever (even my eyes), but looks more "alive" and "oxygenated" (not sure how else to explain it).
Works very well under other products, so all in all a good find. Thank you, Kassy for an excellent recommendation. |

I think this may be jasminerosey's post on Gua Sha which is a good addition to the thread:
jasminerosey 1 wrote: |
Tonia and Bethany,
both of you expressed some interest in the gua sha myofascial 'facelift' (using the gua sha board to 'dissolve' the tissue knots or lumps under the surface of the skin especially in the jowl area)
I am including this info on this thread because i believe it is another way to optimize the effect of the pico toner (and prob most other energy emitting skin care devices like the tua trend)
first, the knots/lumps that decrease the meridan energy flow to the face increase as one 'matures'
secondly, i only know of one place to obtain the gua sha myofascial info...and that is in a gua sha advance clinical dvd created as an continuing education course, with CEU'S, for professionsl acupuncturists...but i had no problem purchasing the dvd as a lay person
if you go to Nefeli.com and look under the 'professional' tab you'll see 'dvds' as a category. when you press this tab you'll see a large selection of professional advanced clinical dvd's offered.
i paid $115 for the set i purchased.
this site also offers a much less expensive lay person version (there is a sample of this version on you tube)but this version is nothing like the version i purchased
in the professionsl version..in addition to the myofascial aspect of the protecal..there is also info on performing facial accupressure with the gua sha board (which is much more powerful than using one's fingers on the same points)
also there are different angles to hold the board to accelerate or calm facial energy flow, and a fabulous gua sha 'facelift' technique starting at the collar bone and going up through the neck, jowls, cheeks, eyes, forehead which is very effective
i truly believe that the fanatastic results i've gotten at my age with the pico in just a few sessions is because, in part, i have been doing this gua sha protecol every day for the past several months.
in the dvd there is also much focus on the meridians and acupuncture points of the limbs, torso and spine..which are put forth as really more important to work with than those on the face itself as far as actually decreasing sag, wrinkles and inflammation on the face..since in traditional chinese medicine the whole body is seen as being interconnected. i don't spend that much time on those 'non-facial' points though..perhap once a week.
so, this is quite an involved dvd and not for everyone.
the teacher is assuming the audience knows the acupuncture points and addresses them by 'name' (K3 for example..which is kidney 3) and there is an assumption that one would know where to locate these points.
there are free charts online that can aid in this regard if one had the inclination.
or
one could just purchase a gua sha board on amazon.com and experiment around the jowl area...using the edge of the board to feel the knots/lumps and then using a rounded edge of the board to 'dig in' using closkwise and counterclockwise motions that are deep and intense but not so painful they create damage to the skin...and experiment! |

Hi Cabrita,
Whew... well I hope its safe to post again. Thank you so much for the aulterra link. I honestly think that more people have issues that can be contributed to EMFs -- at least more than they realize. There is one elderly patient who comes into our practice who sleeps all night and yet has to go back to bed for a nap between 11-1 to rejuvenate and hopefully feel good when she wakes to face the rest of the day. She's been to the doctor, and they have no idea what is wrong with her. I believe this could be her problem. I am going to order the whole house plug for sure. Jeez for $50.00 - That's a steal. Just curious, do you own any of those pillows? They look interesting and I am having such problems with my neck that it wakes me up every night. Thanks in advance. Best, Aprile |

Wonderful! I just read through the last few pages and found some helpful posts that I had missed before. I just ordered the cell food gel and H2O2. Thank you for the links.
I started using the cell food drops and drinking ozone water this past weekend and I am starting to feel better. My energy levels have increased moderately, and leveled out. I don't feel like I'm on the caffeine roller coaster that I was on. I am still having my morning cup of joe but have replaced the other 2 cups with ozone water and cell food. I am one that assumes early results are a placebo effect so I usually wait until I'm sure about the results before posting anything. At this point, I am fairly confident that the ozone water and cell food are helping.
The aulterra whole house plug does look good.
After reading what other posters have posted about EMFs, I got concerned about my son. His bed is up against an outside wall of the house. On the other side of that wall is the HVAC unit and the pool pad. I mentioned it to my husband and he didn't seem concerned but I don't like it. I at least want to move his bed to the other side of the room and put some kind of an EMF protector in there.
Cabrita, do you know the authors name for The Healing Codes book? I tried to find it and there are numerous books by that title. |

Tonia - when I looked at the aulterra site - the EMF protection device they sell covers the entire house and any outside disturbances as well. So you wouldn't need to move the bed. I don't know how old your son is, but mine is 16 and asking him to sleep without his iphone in his room, is like asking him to dye his hair purple. Lol. So.... I am ordering one of these babies!!! Like I said for $50.00 it's a steal. I am interested in the pillows they sell as well. Glad |

Hi April,
Actually I don't have one of their pillows but I have considered getting one. I am EMF sensitive & I find it less conspicuous to carry a neutralizer in my pocket or purse rather than a pillow but who knows it might just help your neck!
I also take Aulterra powder just before we leave for town so I am not "wrecked" the next day. It really does help me! And I take it with my supps in the am also (& often lunch - gives me a nice power boost)I agree with them it does seem to amplify the effects.
Here is a link to their other website & Aulterra. https://www.harmonicinnerprizes.com/products/natural-monatomic-minerals/aulterra/ You may find some of their other products interesting as well. (Dr Rein is the researcher that my husband has collaborated with in the past - but we knew of Aulterra long before they had ever met)(once again no affiliation whateover with manufacturer of any of the aformentioned products)

Tonia,
Here's the link to the book: http://www.amazon.com/The-Healing-Code-Minutes-Relationship/dp/1455502014
It's a bit confusing as there is only 1 universal code in the book. However there are other more codes & for that you would need to get the manual. That is here : http://thehealingcodes.com/
You really don't need to tho. (altho for me my healing has been accelerated since I have been doing the more specific codes from the manual)
Anyway lots of free stuff & info on the website so see what you think. |

Thank you for pointing that out Aprile. I didn't notice that it covers inside and out. I confiscate my son's cell phone before bed. I caught him using it at midnight on a school night one too many times. I went ahead and ordered the whole house plug. $50 is a great price.
To those using ozone air purifiers, which ones are you using?
Sigma, here is a link to the cell food I am using. I think Vital O is another good alternative.

Havana8, thank you for the new title for this thread. It's much more fitting. |

You're very welcome. I'm glad it's working out for you.
I use the same Cell Food drops (supplement) that Tonia linked you to. (Do a google for the best price, it's available everywhere, and many times you can get a discount for combining both products.)
If you do get the drops, you can incorporate it into the product you use for MC treatments.. (Even 2 or 3 drops in an oz of distilled water, with a tiny pinch of salt, will work nicely.) Depending where you live, you're tap water may be just fine. The "trace minerals" tap water affords is a good thing, but we can all do without the "chlorine" and any other *sanitizing agents* that we might not be told are in there. Don't neglect the pinch of salt though, it's really what makes the water conductive.
As a daily supplement, 8 drops in a glass of water or juice is recommended. I basically incorporate it into my DIY products, and only occasionally take it orally. |

Tonia and Kassy - thank you so very much!
Will definitely get it and try both internally and with MC treatments. It does make perfect sense. I have excellent tap water (2 filters - mechanic one and one more which is also water softener, as recommended by Dr. Marshall) and RO for drinking water (I also have a water meter, so have both of them periodically checked). I am waiting for connector for Pico probes, and then will be able to use it together.
Thank you again for excellent recommendations.
Havana - thank you for a new title; it reflects the nature of the thread even better. |

WOW how does one know if you ARE sensitive or not? I know I get stimulated by too much computer time before bed, but JEEZ at work I am sitting in front of one all day and we have a freakin cell tower (they rent the space) on top of this building. I'm getting one of those babies for my health at work. UGH. You know, I don't know if these issues are related or not, but it seems that after two years of the tower being up there, all of the issues I have now reared their ugly head. What do you think? |

I can't stand battling with him. At sixteen he can make ALL decisions regarding his life already. SHEESH. Generally speaking, he is a great kid, so I need to pick my battles. He even takes all the healthy supplements I give him. Lol. This thing you attach to the cell is a quick and easy fix. Honestly, when he goes off to college, he's not going to put the cell away, it'll be in his dorm room. so when the t time comes, I'll buy him a plug thing for there and the phone... that way I have all the bases covered even if he thinks his mom is a loon. Let's just clarify something at this point - your innuendo about Sis is totally unwarranted. Sistersweets has posted on this forum how honored she was to be asked to come to the ACAM show. This does not make her a shill. Nor does it make her a shill that she went to the Neurotris event. She didn't have to share ANY of that information. I hope she doesn't mind me sharing, but she has a vested interest in *perhaps* using her medical license at some point in the future to do something within the skincare/anti-aging arena.

I think the question is WHY was Sistersweets singled out from all the other EDS forum members and asked to go to trade shows. When one accepts an invitation a tit for tat is automatically assumed. What do they expect her to do for them now that they have done something for her? And what is she doing for them? Does she receive special discounts for her support on the forum? Is she in some other way a stakeholder in or compensated by either of the businesses? That has not been divulged. It smacks of impropriety.
In addition, it would scare me immensely if she used her dental license to somehow transform herself into a skin care guru. And led people to believe that she has a medical license instead of one in dentistry. |
That's a lot of assumptions and speculation Jom; Most of what you question I have 'divulged' as you say...answered more than once and voluntarily.
I do not recieve any compensation from Pico or Ageless. I do not sell either product (although I wouldn't mind doing trade shows for the Pico to be honest - it's such a great product and would be easy for me). I paid the full price for my Pico toner and I'd do it again. Yes I went to the emmy event and it was awesome. Everything I write about it from my experience is true.
I used Ageless Secret Gold for THREE years before going to A4M (had zero company freebies except a small 1 oz of ASG as a trial way back when) and I do not work for ASG and did not work the show. All I did was get interviewed. I wasn't even in the booth more than maybe 15 minutes. My interview was completely voluntary on my part. Noone expected it or made me do it. it was spur of the moment.
No need to be afraid of me using my my dental license to work in the skincare field Jom. Nothing scary or dangerous about it. I am knowledgable in both head and neck anatomy (which tends to include skin . (I daresay I've had a site more training than the woman who does your facial). I have had and continue to take numerous medical courses such as anatomy and physiology, microbiology, studies of disease etc (I could write a book). I teach pathology and pharmacology as well as others - including Nutrition. I take 20 plus credits of CE courses regularly to maintain a strict licensure policy. Last year I took close to 50.
In my area the best state-of-the-art skin care salon was started by someone in the dental field. It's not rocket science to make the leap from dental medicine into skin care.
Skincare, etc is my fondest hobby (like many of us). It would be a cinch for me to transition to skin care.
Do you own any of Paula Begoun's books? Check out her creds. |

Good points Sis - in my area everyone is offering Botox from heart doctors to opticians! I doubt many opticians have anywhere near as much training as you or have taken many cources in anatomy or physiology. I hope if you do open a Skincare Clinic, I can come and see you for a nice holistic treatment because I know that's where your heart is!!! |

You're making an assumption that I get facials and I do not. My skin looks great because I use products that have science behind them. You state your scientific credentials and intimate that you are knowledgeable about skin care because of your scientific background. However, there is no science to prove the claims made by Ageless Secret. There have been no clinical studies done and from what I have read there are no plans to do any.
I have never bought any of Paula Begoun's books or products because I believe her credentials are bogus. I would also never buy anything or take advice from anyone who is a proponent of Ageless Secret. Ageless Secret is a New Age skincare product, it is not holistic health care. You would not find any holistic practitioner using "energized" water to treat a client.
I appreciate that you added a disclosure to your EDS posts that will help the newbies know how to better interpret your posts.
I am not going to debate this with you any more. I rarely come to EDS any more because of all the negative energy here. I have found another skin care home. |
