vonstella: ( I love Oscar Wilde)
Why did scalawaggirl leave EDS forum? I happen to agree with what I think her last post here was:
You should give NUFACE a chance.
Most lotions/treatments etc. take a bit of time to show results. Though admittedly, not all work with everyone, and certainly we will all 'show' different results.
I started using NUFace around May, and my DH said he noticed a considerable difference. So much, that he agreed that a Baby Q would be OK for me to purchase. we are not sure which gave me the biggest improvement, as they are both different in function-- and I have improved "skin tone" and 'tighter fit'-- my pores seem smaller (baby Q) and my laugh lines (NuFAce) are gone.
The NuFace certainly was more immediate, the Baby Q took a few weeks.
I thus have to report that using NUFACE, plus the baby Q, and lips2kiss-- has been a wonderful thing for me! I (and DH) have seen a huge difference... and I will continue using these.
I highly recommend NuFace (and Baby Q).
peace and beauty (internal and external) to all,
Mariah |

That's great, Mariah! I can only get one of them right now, which one do you think I should get first? Can you tell us what each of them did for you? |

Nuface or Tua Viso - which one should I order?
I am 59 and have a lot of sagging especially in the jowl area.
I would greatly appreciate your comments |

I recommened the NuFace for sagging.
I love the BabyQ, but it was the NuFace that sold me into the world of taking care of my skin (I am now into NuFace, Baby Q, Lips2Kiss, Epidermx II, and pumpkin peels ...all thanks to EDs-- and have nothing but praise for all these products ! (I found EDS forum searching for infomation on Jan Marini's hair intervention: which I think has worked--may hair is still falling out a bit but not as much ).
beauty to all! |

mariah - how long have you been using the Nuface and how many times a week do you use it? Do you use aloe vera gel with it or the Carol Cole products? |

At first, I used it daily I figured it would become part of my make up routine (I wear a light dusting of mineral make up, and mascara, the Lips2kiss I try to apply often throughout the day.)
I have read however, that it is bes not to overstimulate the facial muscles, and in the end I would say I use it about 3-4 times weekly.
I bought it around March, and I still have the spray and gel it came with. I use the spray, I don't like the feel of the gel.
If anyone has suggestions of other things to use it with-- please do let me know! |

Hi, I am new...61...started reading this post/line with great excitement but hours later am disappointed...not with you gals but the Nu machine.
There's nothing posted recently...Oct.1...anyone still like their machine? The last page of postings seemed to lean towards disappointment with the fans leaving.
Maybe it is an age thing? Please reply as I really had my hopes up for some help with saggyness, etc.

I am extremely interested in the NuFace. With all of the reviews, I do not see any pics and am unable to locate any information except for a few very kind posters regarding the results of this product.
Anyone have any pics to share? I would really really really really really love to see the visible results since scalawaggirl has removed all her pics . ( are there other pics from other users that I am just missing maybe? )
Has anyone been using this LONG term? (3-6 months up to 1 yr). I do not mind shelling out the money as long as it works.
Any information from long term users as opposed to 1 or 2 session users would be sooo greatly appreciated.

Jeeez! Where are all the "NuFace" users? Such raves in the beginning and now nothing lately..
So what's the verdict? Is anyone using it and seeing results with "firming"? Or is it a dud, like so many other "gadgets"?
Is anyone willing to share photos showing results (good or bad), from using "Nu Face"????
C'mon, I'm fiending for a new gadget!!!........ |

Hey, guys. Since I started the thread, I wanted to let you know that, "YES", I still use the Nuface happily. It's one of my many gadgets for those that know me and I feel it is a nice addition to my facial exercises and topical products.
One thing is certain, you must attack from many angles to obtain the best results. Do not expect any gadget to be the magic wand for all of your ails. I have had great luck with Retin-A, Copper Peptides, Vitamin C, Emu Oil and rolling with a facial roller (check out the Dermaroller thread) along w/a few other products that are more for fine tweaking and then my tools (Nuface, Quasar SP, Facemate and Oxylight). Here is a very recent picture of me. I am 41 years old.

Hi scalawaggirl. Your picture is really lovely. Any chance you'd consider sharing a "before" picture again. I've read a ton of your posts and enjoy them all, but the before and after pictures were removed....grrrrr!
I'm on the fence still for the "NuFace". Did you find good results with it for skin tightening? I'm trying like hell to ward off the dreaded jowls. |

Hey Scally, it is great to see you posting. Your pictures and reports on products and their results were an inspiration to us all. I bought both the Quasar and the NuFace on your reccomendation, I think they have done wonders for my 67 year old face in the year I have been using them. Would you please consider posting your "before and after" Nuface pictures again for the folk who are wondering if it's any good.

Thanks, everyone! I'm very happy with the progress that started back in August of 2006. It's when I began my skincare revamp journey and things have really improved.
Okay, here's the original Nuface comparison pictures after three uses (before/after) from when I originally started using it:
Regarding my current routine, it's as follows:
AM
-Cleanse with PSF Gentle Castille cleanser & Clarisonic
-Vivier 20% Vitamin C Serum - wait 10 minutes
-True Radiance Vitamin Serum (C, E, etc.)
-True Radiance Golden Serum (spot tightening)
-True Radiance Eye Cream OR PSF Ultra-Hydrating Eye Cream
PM
-Cleanse with PSF Gentle Castille cleanser & Clarisonic
-Retin-A (alternate nights) - wait 30-45 minutes
-Skin Biology CP Serum/Super CP Serum (4 drops each) all over face and neck
-Skin Biology Night Eyes Premier all around eyes and lash line
-Folligen on brows
-JB Toner sprayed all over
-Emu oil patted all over
I occasionally (maybe every 2 months or so) do a dual-layer 15% TCA peel. Every 2 weeks, I use my 1.5mm facial roller, which has been wonderful for smoothing pores and scar repair. CPs working along with this for healing as well as Retin-A, have provided the support needed to achieve progressive skin repair for me.
The area around my eyes is a result of long-term CP use (Night Eyes Premier), occasional exfoliation with LacSal serum (replaced the older Exfol from Skin Biology) and regular hydration. The products that I have consistently used over the course of the last year have been the Night Eyes Premier, Exfol/LacSal and PSF Ultra Hydrating Eye Cream. I've dabbled in a few other eye creams but always revert to PSF. For the last few months, I've been using True Radiance's Eye Cream and continue to do so. It's wonderful for de-puffing but doesn't deliver the hydration of PSF so I often layer them.
Now, for the tools...I use them intermittently. My Quasar SP is great (still love it dearly) and I use it when my face needs a refresher (gives it a wonderful creamy look) so about every 1-2 weeks. The Facemate is great for cleansing and lifting but I use it occasionally, about every 2-3 weeks. My Oxylight is specific for when I want quick depuffing, liven up the glow or to zap a zit (it's great for this). The Nuface I use maybe 3 times a week.
Another tool in my box is the Flex Effect exercise routine. It's wonderful and I advise following the DVD until you learn the techniques. After that, you can fast forward to just run through the exercises and once you're comfortable doing that, then you should be able to follow the ones in the book (also included on the DVD) to expand the routine. This is a great program and really works. I feel that it has been a good addition to the overall plan and feel it complements the Nuface.
Well, that's a quick rundown so I hope it helps. You can see from the recent picture (original I posted) that things just continue to get better. Keep at it, test products for whether they'll work on your skin and take comparison pictures because you'll miss the improvements otherwise and then be off to the next greatest product that won't necessarily be better.
I'll post an updated comparison picture w/out makeup and taken from the same side as the ones here so you can see how things have further improved. |

OMG scal!! Your even gorgeous in the "before", but the "after", after only 3 uses is amazing...I can't believe the difference in the nasolabilial + eye areas, in a word; fantastic!!!!![b]
I absolutely have to have it now, I'm totally convinced...LOL.
Would you be a real doll, and share with us exactly how you use the NuFace, if it's not too much trouble. My particular concerns are under eye bags, and the start of jowls....
Thanks so much for your wonderful posts and pictures. (BTW, your photography skills, are every bit as good as your beauty skills.. |
