After my first full week of using the Pico, I have to say, "I love it!!!" It has given me a great rounding effect on the apples of my cheeks. The lift in my whole face is incredible! It is so much better and more natural looking than the fillers. I can't believe I ever went that route. The effect is lasting between sessions now, so I don't look great half of the day and tired the rest like on the first 2 days. The apples of my cheeks are much higher and fuller. The NL's are improved, eye's look more open, jawbone looks more defined. I still have little crinkles on the corners of my eyes that I will continue to work on. This was a great buy for me. I am so glad I found this device. Sis, thank you for suggesting that I use it in the morning, even if only 10 minutes. It makes my face glow immediately afterwards. I'd much rather enjoy that during the day instead of in my sleep. |

how can you tone muscles (I assume that includes growth) without a contraction? And if you have constant waves do you get a contraction? Other literature online says no. Of course if it is patented, there is no need for all the secrecy because....it's patented!
But hopefully Sis or Christine can explain that to us. |
I know nothing of the science, but there is a contraction of sorts. Do you have access to a micro current machine? If you crank it up, you can see the muscle moving at approximately 240 times per minute. (I'm a composer, and I figure beats per minute in my head.) It's more of a twitching that a full on slow contraction like the tua trend (yep, I've got one of those too and it didn't do a thing for me), but the muscle movement is definitely there. As to whether or not it changes the muscle, I have an obvious lifting and rounding of my cheeks. That's not possible without muscle change. I know that's only an anecdotal response. If anyone finds scientific answers, please post. I would be interested to know why this works instead of just knowing that it does. |

you're progress is exciting Tonia.
are you following Phillips videos on his site, or Christine's videos.
i was impressed with Christine's 'facelift' video using her jade MC and gloves from China..the moves seemed to me to be quite dif than the ones on Phillips site...i suppose i will try them both.
i received a package today which i believe is my pico..so tommorrow AM i will experiment with it.
may i ask how old you are Tonia |

Hi Jasminerosey,
So glad you got a Pico!!! I remember before you went away you were considering the unit I told you about from Llasas... I liked it for a while as my intro into mcirocurrent, but eventually the probes died TWICE in a very short period of time. Glad you didn't waste your money on it! I think you will really enjoy the energy feeling you get from the Pico. Since I know you are very sensitive, I would recommend trying it at a lower setting, especially on P1 (say 20-25). The tips that are on the general microcurrent forum are really very good to get you headed in the right direction. Please if you need any help, don't hesitate to ask. Been using mine for six months, I rarely feel the need to do any facial exercise anymore... I am in my mid-late 50's. YIKES!!! All the best, Aprile |

Hey Car,
If you have difficult areas that you want to work on, let me know and I will try and find you videos that will be helpful to you. Do you also have the probes? Christine Byer is awesome and from what I understand now that she has a Pico, she might be doing a training video for the company. It will be a win-win for everyone because Christine knows microcurrent like the back of her hand! Best, Aprile |
Thank you for the offer Aprile that's so sweet of you! I really want to work the butt/thighs/back of legs...and I have my first wrinkles showing up on forehead, like the higher up ones people get from scrunching, I wonder if there's a specific move to help with that?
Still feel like a n00b with my pico...but I've had 2 people unprompted ask if I've lost weight and I have lost a little but only like 5 pounds I'm thinking they're seeing pico results actually!
I wonder if I should pick up the probes? They sent me some cables that I don't quite see a purpose for and I think they were included on accident actually but they never sent me an instructions booklet so I wasn't sure what they were

Jasminerosey, I am doing mainly moves from Christine Byers videos, plus the Sister Sweets move at the corner of the eye. I am only using P1 until I achieve the lift I want. Then I'll start alternating with P2.
I'm mid forties...for real. I didn't need this kind of thing in my mid thirties.
I hope you get good results. Keep us posted. |

It's taken me a week just to get the hang of it all. Sadly, no miracles to report yet..lol |

Good one!!!
The Pico definitely gives my cheeks a higher, sculpted look. It's one of my favorite things for the overall look. |

Kassy - Tonia is till in her 40's. Sigh.
Tonia - From what I know about microcurrent- the younger you start, the better you will train your muscles and face to respond... quicker and better. You go girl. I wish I had started this 10 years ago. |

One more comment - Pico and it's big sister machines are second generation microcurrent. That is what makes the difference. |

I just got my Pico about a week ago. ( after reading about it for sooo long!)I love it so far! soooo much better then my Nuface. as well what you can do with it, as result wise. with the nuface my cheeks felt lifted, but I never saw any lifting. while I have been very good at using it.
I first only had the gloves with the pico, but knew right away I really need the probes too. I have rosacea, and the roughness of the gloves irritated my skin too much. also with the gloves the products you can use it with are very limited, since you have to be able to wash the product out, you have to stick to the products made for them. I use the gloves on my legs, while at the same time doing my hands.they were both totally dried out. they both look a lot better , throughout the day.
my face has in instant lift. which lasts about 30 min I think. I will have to see how that goes over time. would be nice if it stayed longer, and improved a little more.
when my face is relaxed I have no wrinkles, anywhere. as soon as I smile I have plenty around my eyes. and my cheeks are starting to sag, which I see on the sides of my chin, forming some shade. I don't expect any improvement on my eyes, but dream about less sag, and delaying it to get worse.
so excited about my new gadget!
it feels great, and it is fun to work with. |

OK....so i used the pico for the first time tonight..and i am thrilled with it...
where to begin..for one thing my face looks really smooooth... i asked my DH (who has an eye for beauty..especially natural beauty) if he noticed a dif in my skin and he spoke about how smooth my skin looks
and...it was really FUN to use.....sort of like working with play dough in a way..so many dif ways to manipulate the muscles in the neck face with these gloves.
i also see a little bit of lift in my cheek area...which i believe ccounts for some of the smooth look...but i feel that there is much m ore to come.
i used the setting on 30 and it felt fine on my lower face but sort of left me a bit too 'energy manipulated' on my forehead/eye area...but i didn't know how to change the setting once i had adjusted it...so i need to lower the amount of MC next time.
anyway..i am very happy so far on day 1 with this purchase..we shall see what the future brings. |

i am 68 by the way!
I've never used MC before (and have 'virgin skin'...no fillers, etc.) but do a lot of 'energy current' work on my face via accupressure and especially gua sha... which i adore. |

Jasminerosey - you can easily change the setting while you are using - just press the center button and then adjust + or - as needed. The setting will change. I do it all the time.
I am sure the mineralized state of your body and the highly energized field you have is helping a lot.
Do the holds around the eye - it will really show rather quickly. Holding for 20+ seconds will really show. I can get quite a nice look in 10 minutes by doing key moves.
Isn't it nice you have a DH who appreciates your natural beauty. |

Sandviken - You can absolutely get improvement around your eyes. In my opinion wrinkles around eyes are not unattractive at all but what you can really improve is a lifting of the eyebrow area and my favorite technique in the eye/nose area (which I described previously). It does untold things for that area of your face. LOVE IT. You can also do an erase under the eyes which creates a smoothing effect. The Pico is a magic wand.
Once you use it correctly, you have the power. |

It seems that pico gives immediate results ( age independent); I think that eds members who didnt see any results received a defective pico, if I were em I would contact the company for a replacement... |

You might be right, since people seem to be on extreme ends of the spectrum...they either love it or hate it. And the people loving it are not having to spend much time learning how to use it either...there seem to be results on the first try.
If those that love it are getting immediate results, maybe the people that hated it did get duds. Unfortunately, short of feeling no zaps, how would they know? |

I think it's pretty hard to tell.. even if someone feels zap does not mean pico is working as intended.. I dont have a pico but what my understanding is that pico has a unique MC pattern ( or something like this ) n if for some reson it's messed up then one is likely not to see much results... |

Very good point. Maybe if those on EDS that did not have results approached them together, they could get new units or have theirs recalibrated. |

I think someone mentioned this before but it would have been nice to have some kind of 30 or 60 day return policy. Then people could try it risk-free and see if it would work for them. |
