I've started to use some Dermalogica products recently and I've been really impressed by them. I've just been looking at their masks and boosters and they all sound good, unfortunately i can't afford to buy them all. If any of you have used any of these products could you please let me know your opinions so I can decide which would be best. I have combination skin which is prone to occassional breakouts and I have quite a bit of congestion on my chin area. I also have enlarged pores.

I've been a dedicated dermalogica user for several years now. my skin is different than yours, i use their sensitized skin products, but i also occasionally break out and i believe that the barrier repair helps to heal zits and really any skin problem. i've used their moisturizing mask and multivitamin power recovery mask, and i love the multivitamin. i can't live without it. it tones down redness, moisturizes without greasiness, and softens skin, not to mention it just feels great on your skin. the moisturizing mask is pretty good too, but in my opinion doesn't hold a candle to the multivitamin. the only booster i've used is the sensitive skin one, and i hated it. it's the only dermalogica product i have had trouble with. it seemed to actually make my skin redder for some reason. maybe i'm just allergic to one of the ingredients. also, the daily microfoliant is great for preventing breakouts without irritation, and the skin refining mask is fantastic. it takes off any dry flaky skin and clears out your pores without overdrying or irritating. basically, the skin refining mask and the multivitamin mask are the best ones for me. the boosters i can't really help you with.. good luck!

Dermalogica microfoliant was too harsh on my skin, ripped off layers (or maybe that was my fault too hehe ) skin got dry and now my cappillaries are showing, ergh...but it is an awesome product, face gets so smooth..

JollyJoy, have you tried the multivitamin power capsules? how would one use them? and what are they used for mostly?

Hi Joom!
I have used Dermalogica for over a year now and it is something I always go back to. The hydrating booster is GREAT. You can put it directly on your skin or mix it in your moisturizer and it is wonderful. I absolutely agree with jollyjoy that the soothing booster is awful and makes my face red and sting. Weird huh? The Multivitamin Recovery mask is fantastic and Microfoliant is a terrific exfoliator. The Microfoliant is one of the only exfoliators that I can safely use.
So in summary:
1. Skin Hydrating Booster-the name says it all
2. Multivitamin Power Recovery Mask-very soothing and hydrating
3. Daily Microfoliant-gentle, but thorough exfoliation
These, in my opinion are the very best.
Hope this helps! Laughing
Ali

I also love Dermalogica products, the ones I've tried are:

Ultra Calming Cleanser - gel/cream that takes off all my make up (even mascara) without irritating my skin or breaking me out. It has a nice soothing feel.
Daily Microfoliant - loose white powder that you mix with a little water or cleanser. I use it every night with no probs. Makes my skin so soft and smooth. I do need to moisturise afterwards tho.
Multi-Active Toner - I don't know about the whole toner thing!! There's nothing wrong with it, but I don't notice any improvement in my skin from using it. It's supposed to help moiturisers and boosters sook into your skin.
Skin Smoothing Cream - I don't care too much for the smell but it's not strong so you don't really notice it. It's a medium weight cream that you can use morning or night. Keeps my skin hydrated without feeling oily.
Active Moist - I use this one in summer. For me, it's not really hydrating enough but if you have oily skin you would love it.
Hydrating Booster - I love this one - you can use it under your normal moisturiser or alone and it's like a big drink for your skin Very Happy
Multivitamin Mask - I know this is everyones fave but I hate it! It made my skin sting, I hate the smell and the colour is gross Laughing Yeah I know they aren't very good reasons but I just didn't like it.
Anti-bac Cooling Mask - This is great, a light gel that has a slight cooling sensating when you put it on your face. Helps soothe redness and clear pimples. I can leave it on for ages without irritating my skin.
Hydrating Mask - Another gel, quite nice but not spectacular - I prefer a moisturising mask to be creamy but that's just a personal preference.

Princesita,
That is so weird that you can't use the Multivitamin Power Recovery mask and I can, but I cannot use the Anti Bac mask, but you can. It made me soooo irritated! Same goes for the Anti Bac wash and Dermal Clay cleanser.
They both made my skin rage. I think its the menthol... my skin says no! Very Happy

Ali - our skins have a mind of their own!! Laughing It's so frustrating!! My sister found the same thing as you, she loves multi-vitamin and hates anti-bac but it makes my face sting. I haven't tried Anti Bac wash or Dermal Clay cleanser yet, they scare me Laughing

....as an aside, the moisturizing mask doubles up as an EXCELLENT leave-on lip treatment...I actually get a slight plumping effect with it - and it makes my lips super soft..

When I first tried the Skin Hydrating Mask, I was not impressed. I was hoping for something more "hydrating". BUT...I found a trick that allows me to get loads of hydration from this mask. I leave it on for an hour or 2, and when I take it off.....WOW....super soft skin. Even my problem dry spot under my chin.

So now the Skin Hydrating Mask is one of my favorites because it is a clear gel and you can put it on and leave it on for long periods of time and no one knows you have a mask on.
