I'm so excited since this is my first time trying a vitamin C serum, i really can't wait to see the results. One question though...should i be using the B5 Gel in conjunction with this serum because i heard that vitamin C serum would dry the skin alittle, is it true? anyone? Thanks! |

Yes, it is advised to follow your Serum 10 with Hydra B-5, as vit. C serums can be dehydrating to the skin. Use your moisturizer over-top of these. Use your Serum 10 only once a day (best in a.m.), and in the evening, only Hydra B-5 and moisturizer. I hope you enjoy your new product, as it's a good one! |

Hi there - I just read on this post a recomendation to use the Skinceuticals serum in the morning. I've also read on another post that you should only use it at night since it breaks down under daylight sun. Can anyone clarify this? |

All VitaminC products should be preferably used in the morning. Generally the reasoning behind that is that L-ascorbic acid will provide protection against both UVB and UVA radiation during your day. I know that L-ascorbic acid is photosensitive and if it is exposed to the direct sunlight it will brake down slowly but right at the time of application, L-ascorbic acid will penetrate through the skin to your dermis layer and it will safely fight oxy-radicals from there. |
