Hi
Have just started using Bare Escentuals but I need a spot concealer. I have found that their bisque is slightly too dark for me and I don't get the coverage I need with just a foundation.
I normally use Max Factor Erace BUT I think that could be causing spots because of all the mineral oil and stuff in it. I get a spot, use the concealer which in turn causes more spots, so starts a vicious cycle.
Would like to use a skin friendly concealer with no mineral oils, or is there another minerals concealer I could try? Dermalogica have anything?
Thanks in advance |

It may not be the actual product that's causing your skin to break out. The break-outs may be happening as a result of bacteria that may have contaminated the product. Example: if you're dotting your concealer directly from the stick, onto the blemish, and then elsewhere on the face ... voila! ... you've transferred bacteria! If you've been double-dipping with your make-up brushes, this too will also contaminate product. I'd use one end of a cotton swab, apply it, and then toss it.
Another non-comedogenic, full-coverage product to consider: Jane Iredale's Covercare Camoflage. |
