| Can you believe another question?! I'm wondering if anyone has real experience and/or knowledge if these post-sun exposure serums/creams really work. I've seen a few that claim to sooth and "heal" skin that's been sunburned - or at least to minimize the effect of a sunburn on the skin. It sounds hard to believe. Any thoughts? Should I have posted this in the "product" forum? |

I am not sure if you're referring to products for the face or for the body, but I will make a few product suggestions for both.
Face: MD Formulations Critical Care Skin Repair Complex or Skin Relief Creme, DDF Aloe Cort Creme, Hydra Comfort Gel Mask, Dermalogica Multi-Vitamin Power Recovery Masque.
Body: Peter Thomas Roth Ceramide Moisturizing Lotion, Thalgo Hydra Soothing-Veil, DDF After Sun Security.
Good sunblocks to PREVENT a sunburn from occuring in the first place: Skinceuticals sun protection formulations, Peter Thomas Roth sunblocks, and Dermalogica sunblocks. These all come in a variety of formulations and methods of application.  |

Hello Zazu!
Last summer, I got back from my annually week- long camping trip with a very bad case of sunburn plus mosquitoes and insects attack aftermath. Thanks to Dermalogica Soothing Booster and Multi-Vitamin Power Recovery Masque, my skin recovered in just a short time. I know it's easy to loose our faith these days on some of the products that claim micracles. That's why I always turn to this forum of EDS to seek recommendations and advice from people who stands at the other end of the ptds' line. I also don't loose my faith on the belief that there are still few good things - including few decent skin care lines- exist. All you have to do is "search for them" with an opened mind.  |
