Hi there - haven't found this specific topic in a search so I hope I'm not repeating myself.
I was planning to get Skinceuticals C+E. Then someone told me that it would be "too much". I am 31, have fair skin, and had blistering sunburns as a foolish youth. I already have slight discoloration in the eye area, and noticed that a few unsightly freckles have become permanent. My mother and grandmother have both had basal and sqamous cell spots removed from their faces. Don't worry, I get checked every year. Would C+E be good for me to use?
On a similar note -- I live over 8000 in the mountains in Colorado, and the sun is horribly intense. Is it still a good idea for me to use Skinceutical renew overnight in the pm? Or should I avoid AHAs so that I don't make my skin too vulnerable during the day? Or should I wear it, but wear a very intense sunscreen during the day? So many questions.

SkinCeuticals C+E will suit your skin very well. You can start Skinceuticals C+E at any age. (the sooner the better) If you apply 2-3 drops of C+E in the morning on clean dry skin followed by your favorite moisturizer and sunblock your skin will have maximum photoprotection against UVA and UVB.
There is a lots of clinical study published in many medical journals on combination of vit.C+E providing almost complete protection from UVA and UVB radiation when combined with UVA sunscreen. Based on all those medical studies the combination of 15% L-ascorbic acid (vit.C) and 1% @-tocopherol (vit.E) in SkinCeuticals Primacy C+E may protect against skin cancer and photoaging.
For Renew Overnight, I would suggest to use it 2-3 times a week at night. It will not make your skin too vulnerable to the sun unless you overdose. Sunscreen is a must during a day, at least SPF30.
