Hi, this is my first visit to the site. I have just reached the big 50 and need some serious advice on skin care. At present my skin is "menopausal" very dry and tight, I have just purchased some Liz Earle cleanse and polish and would like to try some decleor moisurisers. I am using Clinique at the minute, but dont feel it is working for me. I have ordered decleror cleanser and toner, any other reccomendations. Also, Im desperatley seeking a good foundation, have tried all the usual, cant find any that "do it" for me, feeling quite depressed by it all! |

Opps! Tapped on the wrong button just now.
Welcome to the forum, Lynne.
I must admit I am not a Decleor person - I am not the best person to advise you on this. Perhaps the rest would.
Anyway, from my personal experience - there IS a "second wind" for my skin of 40 years. Before discovering EDS, I thought that I should accept my then blah skin due to my age. These days, my skin has never looked better since I was maybe thirty. It is brighter, clearer and smoother. This is a long winded way of saying "do not be depressed" - your skin will get beter with time and TLC.
I am using a Vit C system - if you change your mind about Decleor - I am happy to share.
In the meantime, if your post gets unanswered, persevere and shout till someone replies OR you can email direct to the aestheticians at EDS - they are a helpful lot.
Best,
Jenny. |

Hello Lynne,
I have complete empathy with your problem as I have just turned 50 and so I have personal experience with the 50 year old skin type. My face is not only dry and tight but also extremely sensitive and allergic to many additives and preservatives used in cosmetics.
Although I have tried some Decleor products and can say it is a good line, I really haven't tried their moisturizers. However, I do use a moisturizer from the Dr. Renaud line sold here called "Clariderm" and I have found it wonderful for daytime use and really great under foundation. It's a super moisturizer that makes the skin feel comfortable and hydrated all day long. Dr. Renaud carries many products for mature skin so you may want to look into their products.
Another great line, especially for myself since it is completely organic is the "Dr. Hauschka" skin care. Although it is not sold here at EDS many spas work with Dr. Hauschka prdocuts and I'm hoping that one day EDS will carry their line. You can buy it at health food stores, but there is a fabulous website called "Saffron Rouge" that carries all of their products plus trial sizes so you can try out the products at a much reduced price. Saffron Rouge has a Canadian and U.S. website. They have fantastic service and the Dr. Hauschka line is great. Hope this helps you. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. |
