hydrazen is a moisturiser which de-stresses the skin as it protects against pollution, heat, cold and tiredness. according to the label, it supposedly targets the skin's nerve endings and prevents their role in transmitting stress to your skin. it is the sort of light moisturiser that you can use during the day and/or night as it does not have uv protection. the texture is very light and is instantly absorbed onto the skin. imagine the texture of loreal plenitude hydrafresh moisturiser, only lighter! hydrazen has added cocktail of actives called acticalmtm that soothes and softens the skin and the fragrance is aromatherapy-based (based on ylang-ylang and rose) so you can imagine bathing your face in luxurious bliss. rose is famously known in aromatherapy circles as having a rejuvenating and healing effect on the skin, and ylang-ylang is known for its calming and soothing action as well as its exotic and luxurious fragrance. it is available in gentle cream (for normal to dry skin), cream for very dry skins, and fresh lotion for normal to combination skins. some might even argue that it doesn't contain sun protection which renders it quite useless as you have to use separate sun protection on top of it. however, if like me, you use their photogenic compact as foundation, then, there's no sun protection issue to worry about as it contains spf 14. i tried vinefit (with spf 15) but i still prefer hydrazen as vinefit is just too heavy and oily eventhough my skin is dry.
the thing that appealed to me about this moisturiser in the first place was the zen-factor and that it de-stresses the skin. i'm a sucker for gimmicks that has to do with my well-being and spirituality eg. aromatherapy, colour healing and oriental healing. the lancome beauty consultant recommended the gentle cream as i have dry skin. the first thing that i noticed about this cream was its wonderful, fresh fragrance. I only needed to use a little of it to skim my whole face and a little more for my neck. So, although it's only 50 ml, it can last a long time. It leaves a soft, velvety, non-oily finish on my skin (I think it's the humectant in it!). I used it day and night and I find that my face felt smoother and softer and my mind feels clearer as well because of the fresh fragrance. What I did notice was that it didn't irritate my skin, which is usually the case when I switch my usual face moisturiser with new ones. That works for me! It certainly is different from other creams meant for dry skin as it isn't as heavy and makes my face feel lighter for once and not oil-slicked!

Hydrazen smells and feels great, like all Lancolme products, but didn't do much for me.
My friend loves it and her skin is very hormonal. I think it helped to balance her skin.
I used to really like Hydrative... light pink colour and felt amazing. Very hydrating and protective. |

I'm currently using Hydra Zen Neurocalm moisturiing gel essence and moisturising cream fluid as my skin became really dry especially on the cheeks.
I noticed when appylying the moisturising cream it seeps in nicely into my skin without being oily. On my drier days I apply a double dosage of the moisturising cream and it really soothes me.
I 'm glad to read that somebody on the forum has used and likes this range. |

Blueeyes
I'm on my 4th month using the Hydrazen range. My skin has returned pretty much to normal using this range and am really grateful for it.
I planned to continue using other products in the brand but my interest has started to shift to the likes of Decleor.
Sorry to hear that the brand didnt work out for you. What products are you using now? |

Garbath,
I'm actually on Obagi these days, so that's a whole different story
Before that I used the MD renewal serum under the Guerlain Success series (and Orchide before that)
I love Guerlain and my friend works for them so I always get free products:)
I used Decleor years ago and really like their products too, but I really need something with active ingredients like vitamin a etc
So, yes, now I'm on the Obagi craziness, week 4 and although I'm quite happy, some days are a nightmare |

Yeah blueeyes. Obagi is definitely a different story. Hang in there... from what I've read form the forum you got to be patient while waiting for the results.*Sigh* I'm telling you the things we do / use to achieve perfect skin.
My mum is on Guerlain Orchidee and she swears by them! She is hooked on the serum which costs a bomb. If you're up to it, do give us a review on Guerlain Success and the Orchidee range. .
Here's to great skin for everyone! |

I have used a sample before, and to me it's just a good moisturiser with fresh scent, and the price is not so lovely and I won't buy a full size. |
