Have you ever run out late at night to satisfy a skincare or makeup fix?

I was thinking of this tonight. Months ago I was reading Dr. Baumann's book and I decided that one of the suggestions (Neutrogena Advanced Solutions Night Cream) I just had to get RIGHT now. So even though it was about 11 PM at night, I had to run over to the nearest drug store (which luckily was open 24 hours) and pick some up. Unfortunately it turned out that I didn't like it (it was so perfumed I couldn't stand the smell).

I've done the same thing with makeup too ... I'll get it in my head that I just NEED to get something right away and I can't wait. I can't stop thinking about it until I rush out and get it.

I think maybe I'm too impulsive. Very Happy

What about everyone else?

definately... 90% of my skincare/cosmetics shopping is done on the internet... Whenever I look at the mirror and feel weird with my face, I will go to my laptop and start browsing EDS, MUA, eOpinions, and other stores to find some items ----> Purchase it, and fill my unsatisfied needs Bad Grin

Laughing Oh lawdy, YES! Way more times than I can probably count... I have a Walgreens a block away and a Walmart maybe 5 or 6 miles.. Then there's Rite Aid a mile or so.. Just to name a few... All 24/7..

I only do it online if I can't find it in the store.. I am one who needs immediate satisfaction... Very Happy

Absolutely. Just yesterday I had this need for a new Elizabeth Arden Colour Intrigue Eyeshadow Quad (it is in their limited edition make-up, the bronzey stuff)
... I battled with the idea for the whole day, and tried to focus my attention on more important things, like setting up the internet phone... but by the evening I gave up, 'cause I am technically challenged and my phone did not work and I had to go to the nearest London Drugs to indulge. Embarassed

I like shopping on the internet, but really I am all about the instant gratification.

Exactly! I do order things off the internet as well (things I can't get in stores here) but there is nothing like having it RIGHT NOW. Very Happy Luckily there is a 24 hour Shopper's Drug Mart just a few blocks away from me!

It's funny ... when I get something in my head that I must have, I drive my SO crazy because I won't stop talking about it. And then when I do get it, I still won't stop talking about it and then showing him "OoOoo ... look at these colours" or "doesn't this cream feel amazing!". He thought he'd get a break when I started posting in this forum, but today he tells me I talk about that stuff just as much as ever ... maybe more even, because now I have even more stuff to talk about!
