It was 'colour my roots' time again. Actually a couple of weeks past time but I have such problems that I always put it off as long as possible. Last night I took an antihistamine and took myself off to the bathroom, did my hair, then waited for the red, itchy scaliness. Nothing happened! NOTHING!! I usually take antihistamines for a week after, but my head is absolutely fine today. Yay!!! I'm not getting my hopes up that this will be permanent, but you never know. I've coloured my hair for 30 years and only had problems for 5. Maybe, just maybe, it's gone again. |

That's great, Cesce - I hope this does last for you. You can definitely "grow out" of allergies, I went through a very allergic phase when I couldn't tolerate even ordinary house dust, and it took a few years to get through, but these days I only need to take antihistamines around cats. |

That is great! Maybe the antihistamine did the trick for you and you are on to something that will help you again going forward. I hope your hair turned out great, also. |
