Hi all! Thought I would emerge from lurking and introduce myself. I usually post on MUA, but the members there do not seem to know much about "natural" skin care lines. Anyway, I'm 32 years old with dry skin, tend to break out on chin area. I use products from Decleor, Yonka, Biologique Recherche, Anne Semonin, and Guerlain. I know there are many Yonka users here, so here is my question. I had a facial the other day and the facialist used Yonka's emulsion pure on my skin. I absolutely loved the smell, so I bought a bottle. The instructions say to use only as a compress, but my facialist used it like a toner and left it on my skin. Can it be used that way? I mean, it's just essential oils in a castor oil base...not unlike many other oil products. Thanks for any info, and nice to finally meet you all. |

I can't comment on the Yonka line, never used it. But - welcome from the lurking shadows and for joining the insanity with us!! |

Hola and welcome!
Not a Yonka user, but from what you said about the ingredients and my own experience with castor oil, I wouldn't leave it on my skin - castor oil dries me out and itches, regardless of which EO's I mix with it...

I'm not sure about this one, sorry. I think Carekate has used this in the past. Try doing a search for emulsion pure and limiting the user to Carekate and you might find something this way perhaps. HTH |

Hi! I have Yonka's Emulsion Pure. I used to use it almost daily, but since I'm allergic to an preservative often used in castor oil I've been kind of scared to use it lately.... Anyway, according to the Yonka people it's fine to use it as a toner, but it's very potent so I would recommend just doing so once or twice a week or when you have a lot of active break outs that need help healing. I've used it as an all-over treatment before and I thought it worked great. HTH! |

Thank you all for your warm welcomes and for the sage advice. This forum is fantastic! I'm such a skincare junkie, just like the rest of you. Anyway, I just ordered Yonka's new product, the baume...can't wait to try it!! |

I have it and use it as a toner when my face needs it - if I have too much overactive acne. It's fine to use as a toner. Yonka's toner for oily skin is basically just a diluted version of the Emulsion Pure. If you want you can probably dilute the emulsion pure in a spray bottle to make it less potent (however I don't know the %). I find if I use emulsion pure by itself it gives me a tingle but if your skin can take the potency by all means it should be fine. I just find it too expensive and too small to use it as a toner (not to mention the way the opening is made it's hard to get a large amount out of it). |
