So my natural hair color is a darkish, honey shade of blonde which I "help along" with Aveda's chamomile color conditioner. It works very well with my hair and I've used it for a couple years now with awesome results. But I've been toying with the idea of adding a little reddish color to my hair and I'm wondering how to go about that. Does anyone have any experience with Aveda color conditioners? I tried the red malva today and I definitely noticed some new color - at first glance it seemed too "bright" red and not coppery enough, but I'm not sure if that'll last with continued use or not. Should I switch to the Bixa conditioner instead? All of their colors except for the chamomile one say they're for darker shades of hair, so I'm not sure what I should do. Sad

Thanks for any help!

Why not try Henna. It fades over time but is more semi-permanent.

WARNING: Those red colour conditioners can permanantly change lighter hair colours, especially blondes. I know of a blonde who used red colour conditioners for a few weeks and when she stopped using them and washed all the colour out she was left with PINK hair!!

If you ever want to get your hair back to its natural color, or if you like to change your color, I'd say don't do henna!
