This was a last minute purchase while grocery shopping at my health food store and I'm so happy I picked it up.
I do not currently have "active" blemishes but I do have many clogged (deep) pores and have had success with many sulfur acne treatments so I figured I would add this one to my line up. I remove mu with my cold cream (QH) and then use this as my last step. I does work well on its own for removing makeup so I rotate (when lazy). I have oily summer skin and it does seem to remove all oil on my skin...which I think most foaming bar soaps do but this one leaves your face feeling and looking beautiful. It gives a nice glow to skin which in my book is priceless. No bad smell...smells a bit like clove. Big bar for $4 so its a great value. All around...dont think you can go wrong with this stuff!
"Grandpa's Thylox Acne Treatment Soap acts four ways to improve blemished skin:
Softens the hard shell of acne blemishes (keratolytic action).
Helps dissolve and remove blackheads.
Washes away excess oils which may cause blackheads.
Freshens skin by its thorough cleansing action."
Sulfur 3%--Acne Treatment Soap
Inactive Ingredients: Sodium Palmate, Sodium Cocoate*, Water Glycerin,
Fragrance, Titanium Dioxide, Tetrasodium Etidronate, Pentasodium Pentetate,
Cosmetic Orange Oxide. |

i was just about to start a thread on this soap but see that Olivia has done it already. this is a great product. generally, i have pretty good skin but i do get the occasional pimple, this soap bar will ban the pimple and keep my face oil under control. the soap smells like sulfur to me. not too strong though and not unpleasant.
i have given the soap bar away as gifts for christmas and everyone is raving about it. i have a co-worker who keeps telling everyone that her clear skin is due to the soap. it is a great find and pretty natural from what i can tell from the ingredient list.
make sure to have a good draining soap dish and keep it out of running water to make it last longer. i find the best price is from vitacost. |

I never thought to try this product.
But generally sulfur products work best on me!
I actually bought a verynice draining soap dish at the body shop last year.
It is all wire and a small stand and in the shape of a fish
Was around $5 and cute for the bathroom!
Actually wish I had bought 2 and I keep on forgetting to pick another one up!
with using that soap dish my soaps always stay hard and last forever! |

This line is available at EDS. Very reasonable cost for bar soap.
Has anyone tried this for back acne? |

I would like to read any further feedback on this. There is different formulas.
EDS does sell this and it is really tempting to buy. Did anyone find this drying? Can it be used everyday? |
