Oh fun! Mine is definitely something with animals. At this point I just don't care what, they are just my biggest passion so anyway I could be around them and get paid a decent amount would be perfect. That's the problem with animal jobs though, most pay next to nothing.
I have always dreamed of opening my own luxury pet hotel though. I have it all designed in my head and everything, but my design would probably cost hundreds of thousands of dollars if not a million! |

Oooooh! I have so many!! I'd love to be a makeup artist ... I love playing around with makeup and I enjoy doing others makeup ... I think that would be alot of fun! Or work at a makeup company in their art deparment (I'm a graphic designer).
I'd also went through a phase lately where I wanted to be an interior decorator (I think it was too many weekends of watching Trading Spaces! )
And I would also LOVE to be a novelist if I had what it takes. I used to write alot of stories when I was younger and really loved it.
OR ... the ultimate ... to be a singer! Ahhhhh ... now THAT would be a dream. Of course, that would mean having talent for that, which as much as I wish I did, I have to face the facts that I'll be forever singing alone in my car.
This is a great thread! It's always fun to dream. |

I too DREAMED about being an Interior Decorator and a Fashion Designer, but I suck at drawing so no luck at turning my dreams into a reality My other more realistic was to be a Clinical Psychologist which went down the drain also since it's so hard to get into. Sigh, I guess I can only dream for now... |

I am very lucky in that I am doing what I've wanted to do my whole life.
I have this inherent need to 'make things right', and I have always pulled for the underdog ( , maybe living in Chicago with the Cubs could have something to do with that )
It took many years, but I finally accepted I can't save the world. But - I also carry with me the knowledge that I have touched other peoples lives in a positive manner & hopefully give them that little 'something' to make a change, keep hope or know that kindness can come from strangers. And if they can pass a bit of that to the next person they encounter that needs it my efforts have now bloomed and hopefully will continue to do so.
Geeze - listen to me bein' all preachy.
I love my job - I get great satisfaction in knowing it's my responsibility to make things right, or as right as I can.
Don't let that 'dream' job just stay a dream. Even if you 'dabble' into aspects of it you never know what you actually can do! |

I have come to realise that for me a job is about the money and my dream life lies at home, travelling opens your eyes and you come to realise what you do have at home.
I am lucky that I live in the county side with access to the city. There is nothing better than walking along the hills with your SO and a magnificent views to put everything into perspective.
A dream job buys you more time to do what you want. |

m, dream job- something creative. I love to cook and bake. If we're talking over the top dream then something like a small restaurant or shop. Probably a small dessert shop, with coffee and take out baked goods.
It would also be fun to do something with scrapbooking.
Through my volunteer work I've discovered I really enjoy writing (and think I'm pretty good) and do hope to incorporate writing into my future.
based more in reality- I am working on getting my ducks in a row to return to school for a graduate program in public health, specializing in maternal/child health, specifically breastfeeding promotion. |

I have a lot. I'd like to be an actress, a chef, a dog trainer for the blind, an interior decorator, a buyer for somewhere like Nordstrom, a painter, fashion designer, ornithologist, writer, I'd like to own my own restaurant, a naturalist, image/fashion consultant...this list goes on and on.
For now though I work from home, designing/implementating/upgrading databases and webpages for small businesses. I don't mind the work and I get to spend time with my dogs, but I don't think it's something I'd like to do forever. |

I would love to be one of those ladies that does the exercise videos for collage video and then reviews them as their job. I'm not thinking big enough am I?...
Okay I got it, I would like to train dolphins, be an eye doctor specializing in reconstructive surgery, and have my own perfume line. All at once.
Oh! And I would love to do undercover drug bust stings also in my spare time to take down the bad guys!
Oh why oh why did I go to acting school? |

my dream job would be a lottery winner ~ I guess thats not really a job, but with my money I would do all the stuff that people do and don't get paid. Volunteer time and give money to orphanages, both here in the states and abroad. Since I am a nurse and also hold a Masters in Healthcare Administration, I'd love to take my son on volunteer healthcare missions around the world. I would love for him to grow up giving his time to other causes, without having to worry about money for himself. |

After years of working in call centres and being put down by every customer who calls I have made the huge decision to back to university and get my masters degree in pharmacy!
I've always wanted to do this but just couldn't afford it until now - the grand age of 27.
Every morning I get up with a smile, I cannot believe how different I feel about life just from following my heart.
I've taken a huge paycut going from full time to part time work but even my SO says our home life is more settled now I'm not stressed from work!!
Long may it last |

My dream job is kinda silly...
I'm an archaeology student and I currently work for the summer in a company that clears land so people can build a house or something (a necessity with so much cultural history in the Southwest).
But I'm also really into ethics in archaeology.
So my dream job would be tracking down illicit artifacts stolen from sites...it's such a problem throughout the world (especially Iraq and Afghanistan right now). We lose so much information about the past when someone takes an artifact, even something on the surface, without recording, photographing, and studying it before removal.
Lame I know. Or way too specific...
Geez I'm a geek |
