My Borneo Green (discontinued color) LV Porte Tresor wallet has been my all-time favorite (and workhorse) for several years now. It's the perfect wallet for me: it can hold checks and a check register, has an easily accessible coin compartment, and plenty of room for credit cards and paper money. But it's gotten shabby looking during the last few years, and I've looked at buying a new one but I'm not crazy about the current color choices.
Well, since I had nothing to lose, I bought some Meltonian Nu-Life Color Spray in Green (almost a perfect match) and sprayed my darling wallet. It looks great!!! While the variegated shading of the Epi leather finish is more uniform in color now, the darkly-colored worn spots and even the wear at the folded edges looks *very* good -- great, even.
I thought I'd share this because if anyone has any favorite leathergoods that could use some rejuvenation, Meltonian products could be the answer. Their shoe creams are great too, and if the color matches, they will essentially re-dye the leather, covering any scratches and discoloration. The Spray Color is more like a paint, and I may be a bit premature in my praise because it's too soon to tell if the finish will hold up. But there used to be a terrific shoe repair store in town (sadly closed a few years ago -- people are wearing more athletic shoes than fine leathers these days) that used Meltonian products with success, so I'm hopeful! |

Hi April. You mean that LV Epi leather green colour has been discontinued? All products or just your wallet style? I really like that green. But the new orange colour is nice too |

Hi appletini - If you mean Borneo Green, which is similar to the green color of the "Post Reply" icon on this forum, yes -- it was discontinued (for all items) a couple of years ago. I like the orange color but it's too light for me. One reason I haven't bought a new Porte Tresor is because the Epi color choices (other than neutrals) have tended towards pastel. Even the red doesn't look as vibrant to me as it used to be and I wonder if they've toned it down, since bold colors don't seem to be the trend of their color range these days |

There will probably be a whole new range of colours by the time I can afford a new bag |
