Ok, I've decided to jump on the bandwagon and try the Dr. Hauschka Cleansing Cream.
Here's my question ... I read in one of the older posts that you should cleanse your face first and then use the DrH Cleansing Cream? I also have the Clarisonic which I'm using with the Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel. Can I still use this and then follow up with the Dr. H?
My goal is to try to get rid or (or atleast get them under control since I doubt they'll ever be gone completely) these blackheads that are driving me crazy! The Clarisonic has helped a bit I think, but I want to try something else too. I am also going to try the Jan Marini Bioclear Lotion in my Tzone and see if that helps.
I'm on an all out war with my blackheads starting now! |

I'm going to be watching this thread...I just received my DHCC and was wondering the same thing (cleanser then cream? Or just cream?).
Waiting patiently...as my tube of DHCC sits next to my sink... |

I'm not sure about others (and I use Jurlique's Face Wash Cream btw) but I cleanse with a VERY light mousse cleanser prior to using it. Sometimes I just wipe with a liquid cleanser before using it as sometimes I find it may be drying if you use a heavier cleanser. So I'm not sure if you'd want to use your dermologica gel cleanser with it (I actually found that cleanser a bit drying on me though). I don't recommend you use the clarisonic beforehand - it might be too much exfoliation? I'd probably use the clarisonic at night and the DHCC in the day. But then again, that's just me |

I was just thinking ... I still have some Dermalogica Precleanse ... would this be good to use before the Dr. H Cleansing Cream?
Would it be overkill to use both the Clarisonic (PM) and the DHCC in the (AM) both on the same day or would that be too much exfoliation in one day? I wonder if I should alternate?
Does everyone use DHCC every day or alternate or anything? |

I think the AM, PM thing should be ok. Maybe you should try the Precleanse with the DHCC and see how that works out for you. I've never tried my Precleanse with it so I'm not sure. |

DOn't mean to stray from the topic, but I share Moonstarr's question on how often I should use it.
I've used it twice (every other night) and it's a little strange to me (method, consistency, smell). I'm really going to give this one a chance since everyone in previous posts says to keep using it for awhile and you'll see results.
Any advice is greatly appreciated! |

I use DHCC day and night everyday. I'm oily and that's what was recommend in the instructions for oily skin. But for combo or dry skin I can see how 2x a day would be a bit much. I've only been using it for a few weeks and I'm happy with how my skin is changing. It's a bit to get used to but now I'm getting used to it. DHCC doesn't remove makeup so you'll have to use something before. I have read some posts where people use a cleanser before even without wearing makeup. But I haven't tried that yet. |

Misha...how fast do you go through your tube by using it 2x a day?
Thanks! |

I've personally been using it 2x a day, and I go through it like nobody's business (need a new tube every 10 days!), so I occasionally try to use homemade versions, but somehow I have less trust in that (i know that's crazy!) |

jzainoun...every ten days!! I would definately be broke from that. I haven't gone through a tube yet but I think mine will last about a month. Or at least I'm hoping it'll last that long. Maybe I'll try the homemade version... |

ACK! That's what I'm thinking too ... I just assumed it was a normal size cleanser that would last me the usual 6 months(ish)! I'll have to see how mine goes ... I'm only going to use it once a day so that should help right there. |

Mine is the Jurlique one which is 40mL (even smaller than the DHCC) - I've used it once a day for 2 weeks and have only gone through 1/5 of the tube. You don't need a lot - if you really only take out half an inch each time it should last you 2-3 months. |

Dr. H suggests to first clean your face with the Cleansing Milk...to remove make-up. If you have oily or blemished skin you should also clean your face with the Cleansing Cream, which is a deep cleansing, mild exfoliant. Hope this helps a little. Check out Dr. H's website for alot of information. |
